At this point, I'd like to just thank you guys at DeckNine for creating such amazing and especially heartwarming games. You guys are (or meant to be) literally the best game development company to take on the Lis-series because ya'll didn't just rush with the series, no, you’ve been patient and gentle with it, with lots of passion and love, and did your best to keep the series alive which I really really appreciate (I mean, look at that damn good remaster 😎) But anyway, the kind of stories you tell us in your games and the general way you bring them to life is just wow. See, even a “small“ group of people can create such big and special things. You guys have like your own style and perspective to tell your stories and develop your games, well, and that is exactly why your games are so damn good because they were developed by people who just know how to touch people emotionally. Still this game don't need any remaster. First, it's not even old game, and second as i said many times under comments, this game was perfect exactly in the way it was released. Edit: People fell in love in LiS, not because of facial mimic, not because of REALLY small details of hair and acting or 2 more pixels on the screen. But because of storyline, emotions, characters and relationship between Max and Chloe.

It would have been nice to have Dontnod involved in the development as well. Because the rights may rest at Square Enix and Deck Nine have freedom for the series, Dontnod started this story and their development for Life is Strange 2 really came to fruition. I know a lot of people didn’t like that season, but I think it was as good as any season in its own way. I think it should all be appreciated and maybe not transferring the rights to a company for profit, but both companies could work alternately or together to expand this wonderful world.

I personally think Square Enix felt Dontnod was causing a little too much controversy. True Colors was developed within the same timeframe as LIS2, I think it started after the first couple episodes were released, so my theory is they went behind Dontnod’s back and commissioned Deck Nine to work on True Colors because Deck Nine tells tamer, less risky stories. Dontnod’s departure kind of upset me, because their stories feel genuine and all the emotional beats hit perfectly. With Deck Nine’s games, the emotion feels manufactured and a little saccharine. Like I thought BTS was okay, could’ve been better, and True Colors was a massive disappointment story-wise. But Deck Nine is great at expanding characterization, and I feel if the two studios teamed up, we might get the perfect and ideal Life Is Strange game. But I don’t see that happening, sadly. I hope one day, Dontnod comes back to it though, because I don’t like where Deck Nine is taking things.

Come on now people. It takes 3 minutes to do a Google search on this and see that Dontnod left the franchise on their own volition. As explained by their CEO, the company is looking to develop and self-publish their own IP’s, not ones that are ultimately owned and controlled by Square Enix.

I was a little skeptical of Life is Strange 2 at first because of how different it was to the first game, but once it got going I really really enjoyed the 'road trip' aspect of it and the way it presented new characters and friends along the way just like you would in reality if you were constantly passing through towns.

When Life is Strange came into my life, it changed me, and so did Mr. Robot. These two really inspired me to write a novel series. My novel series is a shared universe, but it’s not like MCU as you think. This is a series of philosophy; characters; growth and lessons we need to learn before we enter the real world. This isn’t a superhero series, but a supernatural one and doesn’t have to rely on big explosions, humour and things that keep you pumped up. It will inspire you to get back up and fuck the world.

It is in development. Not with Deck Nine, but Square Enix made a deal with the creators of 13 Reasons Why. Personal opinion: It scares me, because that series, instead of showing what a person with Depression is like, romanticizes him, which portrays him incorrectly. And we already have Kate Marsh, who I swear that if they show her all the time stable and, very possibly minimizing it for being a secondary character (Hannah Baker was the main character and they didn't even get that), I don't know what I'll do. Heck, even Dontnod said he didn't like how the project was going, shortly after it was announced that Shawn Mendez would minister on the soundtrack. ;-;

The remaster is such a double-edged sword. Some things look better and some things I prefer the original. But overall I think the work they put into remastering these games has paid off. It's obvious they put a lot of hard work and effort into it rather than just throwing all the textures into an AI image upscaler and calling it a day.

I admire the work ya’ll are doing at Deck Nine, I really do, it’s smart and innovative and creative. But you need to realize the art style of Dontnod’s games were never meant to look like True Colors. They were meant to look like a painting, because most of the scenes and textures were hand-painted. So when you place new animation, higher poly counts, and color correction into the mix, and remove all the subtle blurs, glows, and lighting effects that worked with the original game, it ends up looking like a mess. This isn’t Detroit Become Human. Please learn the difference between what’s enough and what’s too much, because you definitely took a big leap over that line, in my opinion. No offense.

Just a heads up for anyone that bought the True Colors Ultimate edition, it seems like only Xbox players can pre download the game while PS4 players have to wait the exact time it releases to do so (they put the times on their Twitter). It really sucks tbh but apparently some PS4 players were able to pre download it so I'd check just in case. Same thing I've heard with Xbox players how some aren't able to find/download it so I don't really know what's going on with that. But you should be good if you bought the remaster separately.

I own the True Colors Ultimate edition I got the preorder version that they delisted on Microsoft store, and it shows only the items from true colors, I hope that the listed games of life is strange remastered and list is strange before the storm remastered games do not show up, and I can't download them on my Xbox one x yet. it does not show up as a product in the true color's ultimate edition yet, as it only shows all items like wavelengths addon, but no life is strange remastered items under my account for True Colors Ultimate edition preorder editions yet, which it shows the non-preorder ultimate edition as unowned, Below is from there page about when we get access to the game. lifeisstrange.square-enix-games.com/en-us/faq/ The Life is Strange Remastered Collection will unlock for Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition owners on its standard release date, February 1, 2022. I tested yesterday both versions on ps5 and I’m so disappointed! They were full of graphic errors! Every scene in before the storm was full of them! And in life is strange even the start screen was full of errors! Bad Bad work deck nine! Maybe you should took more time and make it right!
