The Beat for He We Go Is Legendary Aka ''Big Beat''. Numerous DJ's still use that beat for Rap Cyphers. Memories of me back in 1984'' In the 4th grade It was this beat that always got me in trouble by my teachers when i would do this beat on my desk with my hands lol back in those days doing this and beat boxin drove my teachers crazy lol they really didn't understand Rap Music especially In 1984'' 85'' lol.😂 Thanks Jayquan for some more Hip Hop History Lessons.🎶😎

He keeps calling it a "crappy recording" but that's what made it so raw and authentic! lol I'm sure he's not being literal. I saw them perform the song at the Pasadena Convention Center back in 84. Back when Uncle Jamm's Army was RUNNING the L.A. party scene.

UTFO put out “Roxanne, Roxanne” in ‘84. I remember on a Hip Hop radio show Run mentioning that they used the beat long before UTFO- A few months later this came on the radio..spring or summer’85. I’m not disputing ole boy’s chronology but that’s what I recall from back then.

The introduction to "Here We Go" featured on the Jason Nevin's remix of "It's Like That" (the full length remix not the edit). That ended up being a huge UK No.1 pop hit back in early 1998. Finally heard the original "Here We Go" later that year on a compilation called "Rockit". Always wondered where that "Ahh Yeah" sample originated from; that was in countless dance/hip house records circa '88-90.
