To be fair, she didn't "crash" the ship - the helm controls were offline and she managed to safely guide the saucer down in a TEXTBOOK landing saving every single man woman and child aboard. She should have been promoted for it.

Always love the comments about the dynamic among the cast. When they started out, Patrick was this stoic Shakespearean actor chastising the others for not taking their job more seriously and over time this bunch of crazy heathens mellowed him out and they've become a family that still meets up whenever they hve an opportunity to be near each other.

Thanks so much for uploading this featurette! It was also shown on British TV (ITV) at the time of First Contact's theatrical release - which was how I saw it but wasn't able to make a recording. The joys of KZbin. 🙂

I have this red, Captain Picard t-shirt that I ordered a while ago. Whenever I wear it to go somewhere, I do that Captain Picard thing with my arm, and say, "engage!" When I try to do it without the t-shirt on, he'll say, "nope, you can't do it without the shirt!"

This crew along with DS9's probably had a bond like a band of brothers. They experienced this great adventure trough together as a family, and they - as far as I know - became friends for a life. I envy them for this feeling. As for Voyager, well, there were problems, as I know, but some of them did became real friends. TOS? Same, most of them - except The Shat. Idk the others, but tbh, Enterprise and all the others after that... for me they were just another TV show. Just a proper work, but nothing more. Maybe I am wrong, but Star Trek shows gave me these impressions.

As I understand it there was some tension on the DS9 cast. Brooks had a bit of a temper, among other things...

I love the phrasing of the 8th movie following the adventures of the Starship Enterprise... It's pretty cleve rto frame it like that... Even if it was briefly traded for a B'rel class in one movie

Good movie (and so much better than Picard S3). But, the Borg Queen was a mistake, IMO. The Borg were much more mysterious and scary without her.
@werideatdusk2 ай бұрын
I agree to an extent but First Contact worked a lot better with her in it. That said I think Voyager kinda killed the Borg.

I remember seeing this First Look on HBO back in the day. I wish this had been the last Next Gen movie so they could have gone out on a high note. But I guess the world wasn’t ready for a Deep Space Nine movie.

Although Nemesis didn't do well financially (it was up against a Harry Potter, a Bond, and a Lord of the Rings), it was a much better film than Star Trek 5, and I'm so glad we got The Undiscovered Country. The studio picked the wrong director and released it at the wrong time. That and the studio itself struggling financially is basically what killed the TNG films, and removed possibilities of DS9 / Voyager ones.
