Behind the scenes of Temporal Distortion

Watch in HD - This is a quick behind the scenes shot from my upcoming release. The first shot is from a T2i on a tripod, it is shooting the 60D on a dolly, which is shooting the 5D Mark II on a dolly, which is shooting the Milky Way and round bales.
I intended to cover the led on the 5D with tape, but forgot too. I like the lens flare effect it gives though.
The foreground is lit with a Coleman led lantern.

@jsdigital ISO was 6400 on all 3 cameras and 30 second exposures.

@dakotalapse settings you gave me before: 2.8 aperture (11-16 tokina), 1600 iso, 30 second shutter

you get less noise when its cold outside..its the heat from the sensor that makes most noise..longer shutter speeds= more heat from the sensor

@ahmaltalib It was real dark, it was a new moon so only star light. A led lantern lit up the foreground.

@s1mpl3k1d I haven't tried that lens, but there is a big difference going from F3.5 to F2.8. So an F4 might be kind of dark for Astro.

@martyn347 The led on the camera comes on when it's writing to the cf card.

@jameswalt1 Did you shoot RAW? Not sure where you shot it, but light pollution can make noise show up more also. Other than that, I don't know. I haven't seen red and blue noise before on mine.

Great video! I'm going to try an capture the upcoming lyrid meteor shower, but I'm not in as dark of location a you . If I want to capture it with some light pollution, what settings would help for interval and exposure length? I've got the t2i and the 18-55kit lens as my widest (f3.5). Please reply soon! Im doing it tomorrow and the day after!

dakotalapse, I don't have ultra wide lens and I am liking the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6. As long as I increase ISO, I should be fine right? BTW, awesome video!!!

@dakotalapse I did a night timelapse (long exposure) with my 60d and had tons of noise (red and blue dots. What do you think I could do to prevent that?
