Absolutely stunning photo. As a serious bird photographer, I rank all my photos from 1 to 5. I trash the 1s and 2s, and have about 4 or 5 out of tens of thousands that rate a 5. The BOP shot is a 5+. Congratulations.

You put the bag on the tent, woke up 1am, treck 3 mountains for 5 hours, climbed to the peak, arrived at 7am, climbed the tree, set up the camera and remember you forgot the sd card at the tent.

Essas aves são magicas, lindas e perfeitas. Sera talvez que não teriam sido trazidas de outro planeta? Tai algo ah si pensar..

When I saw that photo for the first time at a National Geographic exhibition, I was in awe. My 2 hr car ride to the exhibition was worth it just because of that one photo. I stood there wondering how the photographer got the shot, wishing there was another photo of the photographer getting the shot, and here I finally found it! Thanks for the video.

Beyond beautiful. As "otherworldly" as the Birds of Paradise themselves.

What I think he meant is the patience of waiting 7-8 hours for a photo after an intricate set up.

1:49 Steve Buscemi!

Why Steve Buscemi is doing now? He stopped playing in Boardwalk Empire and start to photograph birds?
I can't find the words to tell you how much I admire and appreciate your work. Incredible. And to think you and the internet make it possible for me to sit here in my home and watch such marvels of nature on my computer.

How did you identify the branches where the bird will display itself? (out of the millions of other trees)
