I agree, the focus should be the health, natural beauty, and training of the horse. Flashy tack is a distraction.

Watching the first part of the world cup final in dressage ritght now. And crying. Like wtf. Almost every horse are behind the vertical and all of have a open mouth and the riders have the spurs in their horses sides at all time. As an eventing rider I am crying. Dressage has turned into animal abuse for real. Just watch a warm up at a dressage competition.😅This should NOT be a olympic sport anymore. And if it continue like this it shouldent be a sport at all😢

Ello! Dressage rider here, while I know recently there have been a lot of issues with dressage and abuse there are still many good people and trainers out there. I know that people have also been really flexing what dressage means ( Dressage is basically showing the art of relaxation and bond between horse a rider) there are big issues in the big leagues but now it’s coming to the point where people think that every dressage rider is an abuser and it sucks :p. I used to do eventing but I switched to dressage several years ago after a bad fall on a course, I don’t mean this message ill-heartedly btw!
