@@dolorexic_s in my opinion, pre cure is kinda not for me. I really can’t see it in my childhood. Sure, the other glitter/cure was there like purple but I think the dub is just for me. Also, the names were changed for a reason so they could be easy to remember for kids in the west, I would be confused with their Japanese names as a kid. The cultural references were probs removed and to make it more American which I think is very due and disrespectful, but it was 2014. But, there was one episode in the dub they were using chopsticks which is surprisingly a nice little change other than the episodes that were removed! (My opinion btw, do not attack me.)

@@Butterflix no, the oringial name of the series is precure, there are like 20+ seasons and 30+ movies, a new season every year and it’s a great anime, I was born in 2009 and I grew up with it, when I saw glitter force I called it pretty cure, because it was it only with a different name, because they kinda stole it an made it an American thing (I don’t know the story well)

Well there are more. Pretty cure is the original series, there are currently 20 seasons, with the 20th season started recently. Glitter force and glitter force dokidoki are the English adaptations of smile precure and dokidoki precure, they had skipped episodes and movies.

Do people not understand "Netflix Original Series" It stands for a series, that is made for Netflix viewing, it doesn't mean it was made by Netflix. This ADAPTATION "Glitter Force" was made SPECIFICALLY for Netflix, therefore it is called a Netflix original series. It doesn't matter if it wasn't made BY Netflix. Winx Club WOW: World of Winx which comes to Netflix in 2016 is ALSO a "Netflix Orginal Series" because it was designed FOR Netflix. This adaptation was designed, FOR NETFLIX. I just wanted to say this show was my childhood when I was younger, I remember waiting a whole year for season 2 and when it came out I was so excited! I kept jumping up and down and smiling Glitter force was the first fandom I ever joined and I was sad to see it end but i was glad I watched it Now that I’m older I look back on it and I’m so grateful to have watched such an amazing anime with such a cute art style. It’s getting some sort of recognition on TikTok which made makes me happy! Thanks for making my childhood super funny!

it's not really over, though i'm not sure if they're going to dub the other seasons, but the original version of glitter force is pretty cure, well to be more specific it's smile pretty cure, glitter force dokidoki is an english adaptation of dokidoki precure. there's currently 17 seasons. and smile precure has 48 episodes and dokidoki precure has 49. there are english subtitles. and the movies are canon.

Also if you are all curious why most anime adaptations change the music is because of licensing. According to Eric Stuart (musician, voice actor and director) stated during a panel that when they redub the music and it is used on other versions (for instance all the international versions of Glitter Force will use the English script) they will get their residuals off of it and it is a business decision between Toei and Saban.

If you didn't know glitter force is a localised dub of smile precure which is a apart of a magical girl anime franchise called precure which started in 2004 which is still ongoing and ever February ever year theres a new precure season and a new artstyle and character designs and theme etc. And smile prettycure was a response to the 2011 tsunami Tohoku tsunami and the message was to smile Even in difficult situations that's why it was called smile precure and that's why cure happy in the original was called cure happy. And glitter force changed the characters names and in the dub it not only change the characters names it removed all Japanese culture and lied about where the characters lived in the dub and cutted out eight episodes and changed the brightness.and glitter force doki doki is a localised dub of doki doki precure which is also apart of precure and glitter force doki doki removed Japanese culture expect for one episode and changed the characters names and lied about where the characters lived and removed emotional scenes and changed the brightness and removed 20 something episodes

That’s because they’re different seasons of the same series. They’re the Japanese versions of smile precure and dokidoki precure, they’re the 9th and 10th seasons of pretty cure. There’s actually more episodes of smile pretty cure since they only dubbed 40 out of 48. Glitter force dokidoki had skipped and combined some episodes. And they skipped the movies for those seasons. There’s currently 17 seasons for pretty cure. And I’m not sure if they’re going to dub the other seasons
