We are passionate about beekeeping and really enjoy helping beekeepers through our KZbin channel.
On our channel you can find information on making splits with swarm cells, making increase with queen cells, grafting larvae, foulbrood and disease inspection, honey extraction and machinery, top tips for beginners, products reviews, instructions and guidance plus much more.
#NONONSENSEBEEKEEPING is a UK based beekeeping channel, designed to keep beekeeping as simple and enjoyable as possible. There are no overly complicated techniques or intricate pieces of equipment.
We cover all beekeeping topics ranging from queen rearing, disease recognition/control, honey extraction, swarm management/collection, how to make splits and much more!
My personal favourite aspects of beekeeping are selecting queens for rearing, rearing queens for mating, making up nucs for overwintering and collecting swarms.
We aim to bridge the gap between commercial and hobbyist beekeepers and cater for beekeepers of all experience levels.

I'm looking to order my first ever nuc next year and you're my chosen provider because I owe it to you for all of the videos you've put out there educating me for the past year. (I study like mad before I get into something and you've really helped.) My only headache at the moment is do I go for the Abelo 12 frame national or the Abelo Langstroth? Your older videos haven't helped me there at all because you keep changing your mind! 😂🙈

coming here straight after watching Alex's video and instantly subscribed, as an aspiring and first year beekeeping apprentice (don't have my own bees yet, but work with a local beekeeper who's teaching me till I'm ready to own bees myself) I'm looking forward to going through all your videos for more tips and information in this beautiful hobby. From what I already saw on Alex's video, you are an excellent and captivating teacher and your enthusiasm and love for beekeeping really shines through. I've been watching Alex's channel for a couple of years so this was also a nice and interesting glimpse into his thought- and video making process and you're hitting the nail right on the head on what makes his videos so special. It's also just so lovely to watch you two chat, so much mutual respect, admiration, passion and cheer-leading! Stuff like this is what makes youtube great!

That constant grin of Alex reacting to the ongoing applaud and praise of Laurence (11:16, but also 9:21 - 13:14) :))) To me, it wasn't the video editing skills, camera angles etc. that many are saying, but it was the way Alex presented the bee keeping, I wanted to do it too, I felt well informed even after the first video. And it is the way Alex tackles things: the sweet spot being layman, but still bringing enough professionalism into it.

Two of my favourite bee keepers in the same video- fantastic. The thing is Laurence, it's great to have different styles of video, so don't be down on your work, because there's room for variety! You, Gryff and Alex are my go-to for all things in this mad world of beekeeping, keep the beautiful vibes coming x

The difference between both your styles are Alex's does the story telling and has a varied number of interests to document, whereas yours is specific to beekeeping. Alex can peek people's interests to his adventures but yours is more of a journey from beekeeping basics to more advanced techniques as well as getting folk stuck in their ways to try different techniques. Can happily watch you both and in some cases rewatch certain videos as a guide or just for the visuals and relaxing aspects.

This was an interesting interview back apary. Being a recent Beekeeper/KZbinr I relate to the thinking and deep inner searching that doing both beekeeping and KZbin at the same time does ones life. 🤔

Hello from the US! I'm here from Alex's channel! I have been a fan of Alex's for a little while now, as an American lady I have to admit I'm a sucker for a British accent 😂 Alex is also very calming and sweet, and many of the things he's sharing a learning experience of are things I want to learn too! I really appreciate the KZbin channel info! I'm hoping to move to Alaska and start a Homesteading/Alaska adventures KZbin channel and really hope to keep bees after building my log cabin! Unfortunately my plans are further delayed in buying land as my car just died 😣😥 I don't have any family for help, but I suppose that can be a little bit of my own nich as "self sufficient" because life demands it. At any rate, I'm hoping to get a truck while still living in South Carolina, I'll need a 4x4 for Alaskan living! I just subscribed to your channel here and look forward to learning more about bees!

I really enjoy this relaxed natural style, as I am sure everyone else does. Having done some Taxi driving, found that it was perhaps the best job I ever did, mixture of social care, mostly great customers (with a few bad) and lack of business backstabbing, plus chance to chat about bees, because everyone knows something about them! Hope your good lady is well.

Bit concerned that Alex reacts to bee stings with itching the day after as these are symptoms of the beginning of anaphylaxis.
@remco6816
@remco6816 3 ай бұрын
I can personally react way worse. I can get fever and swellings the day after. Went to check it upp att an dokter specialized in allergies. I seem more sensitive for be stings but that doesn't mean I will get anaphylactic. The reactiea vomes a day after dont notice anything special soon after the sting. Been stung two times this year, nowadays I use antihistamines and do not, at least not yet get feverish the day after and swelling is minimal and more local compared to a whole arm last year. Så being stung and getting some reaction doesn't tell you anything about the risk off getting anaphylactic. You will know when you know. It might also depend on how well your whole body is able to compensate for the reaction.
@Darren_Nicola
@Darren_Nicola 3 ай бұрын
Who told you that though , as it’s common from any sting or bite to get itching / swelling at the exact spot of the sting normal a day or so after , bet Laurence has the same reaction like most beekeepers, anyone allergic would pretty much know day one abc be one very unwell ,

@@mickhoyle4064 ok but I get a tiny itch after a sting on day 2 then day 3 it’s all gone , and I’m not allergic to anything and the nhs do say stings can itch and it’s a normal reaction, but all being said if anyone has a sting and and is worried get it checked ASAP , my mate kept his bees 20 years then few weeks ago had to stop after a reaction out the blue and he never reacted before that ☹️
