Hey Alex not sure if you use xlights or have Facebook but me and a couple of friends have started a group called xlight teens if you are interested in joining let me know 😁

get you some pipe insulation or a pool noodle...run it thru the "loops" of wire between the pixels...put one up high, one about midway, and if needed, the bottom....It will hold your strings/pixels almost perfectly straight, even in winds like you get!

hi I have a question for you I really want something like this for my house, but I want to know like how much money did you spend on this project all finish just for the tree I don't have any idea how to start to do this project please let me know thank you

Many of us have determined that if you budget $1 per rgb light that is close to what you will spend for a pixel show. This includes lights, power supplies, cables, hardware, Starbucks, life insurance, and retainer fee for any pending divorces. LOL

Where did you purchase your lights?

What topper are you using?
@xtremesequences19654 жыл бұрын
That is an old topper from Holiday Coro. I do not recommend plastic toppers. Mine is a metal topper now from Overkill Merals. You can also find them at Gilbert Engineeringusa.com

@@xTremeSequences Hey Ron, Another great and helpful video. Thanks for sharing. Are these light strings 100 pixels each? Thanks
@atticusmccoy67014 жыл бұрын
Ello. I know this video was a while ago. I hope you still get notifications :) I am building my first tree and have never bent conduit. Wish me luck. My question is why didn't you just do the eye bolts straight up and down instead of an angle? I can't see any reason why that wouldn't work? Am I missing something? Also what is the name of the piece that's holding onto the conduit and how is that secured to the ground? Thanks!
@xTremeSequences4 жыл бұрын
That's a great question and I thought the same thing but when Walter Monkhouse teaches you about mega trees you have to trust him. The purpose for the angle is that the strings come down at that angle so that when you tension them they pull in the correct direction. Is it critical? Maybe, maybe not but what I went with.

Sorry I missed this. It is 16.5 feet from bottom pixel to top pixel. Total tree is 20 feet tall.

might want to take it off the gas meter

You realize this was from 2016, right and it was never really attached to a gas meter. You may want to catch up. LOL!

@@xTremeSequences gas anything or where is a no no. Water sure but gas or electric never. Actually any pipe coming from the house unless it was established for the Express use as an anchor point should not be used. 40 years of property ownership lessons, none were cheap.
@xtremesequences19654 жыл бұрын
@@ThomasLeonard454 Maybe you didn't see the above reply to another. The tree was never anchored to the gas line in waterline. This video is old. My guy wires go into the ground and are attached to the sewage pipes so totally safe now.
