Beautiful song. Lost my fiancé 2 weeks before we were to be married 16 months ago. I still wear the ring he gave me that was brand new during the civil war. Often wonder what happiness and heartache this little ring on my finger has seen. Wonder how many angels have come down to take the men of the women who wore it before me. Angels are real, seen two of them when my gallbladder died but I screamed like Sam Kinison at them because they were sparkling blue and white with blinding light like a million LED lights and scared me. All I could do was scream my fiancé's name because I couldn't leave him, but maybe he needed to know more about my love for God to make it to heaven before they came for him. God love and bless you for this beautiful song.

My Great Grandfather was in the civil war. He was from North Carolina. He wrote home about the war and that he thought hhe never come home. He did, but his life was never the same. He buried in the family cemetery on Green Mountain North Carolina. In a valley not far from his home. We go there for decoration every year

My friend David died last year from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. I was a little girl when Vietnam was going on. (Born in 66) But I would sit up nights on the phone with David taking on the phone because he lived in Michigan and I live in Massachusetts. He would tell me about his friend Sugar Bear who was killed and how he saw him get shot and packing his body up. He would be crying. I could always tell when he was going through it because he was slightly drunk and I would ask how many beers did you have and we would talk into the night. He in so many ways never left Vietnam and I told him that once. He was still there. I wanted him to get help but he viewed it as weakness. So, we would talk. I never physically met him but we had talked about it. He was an online friend because of cats. But yeah, Vietnam was really rough on him and he never really recovered from it so I tried to help as best I could. He would just cry and I would just listen to him and be on the other end of the phone. I wish I was older so I could have welcomed him home in the way he and the other Vietnam Veterans deserved. They are the ones I will go out of my way to thank and I am really protective of them. It pisses me off how they were treated and I will NEVER accept it.

Wow! I am crying my eyes out over your song. My husband died from Covid pneumonia last year and three months later my son died.
