I always look for products made in the Philippines, once I found a papaya soap product in a supermarket with a very similar packaging design but I knew it was not made in the Philippines, and I would not buy it. Thanks to the 1997 crisis Manny Pangilinan almost became bankrupt. they tried selling Fort Bonifacio to the Ayalas for like $200 million plus in 2001 . Ayala said still too expensive. They finally agreed for a pittance price of around $160 iirc. Ayala got a bargain and immediately developed the area into what we now know today as BGC 😀
