I used to work with Raymond back in 1986 & 1987 for Mimi’s Cafe in Downey, CA. We were both servers. I remember how he’d tell me that he’s an aspiring actor. I never thought, at that time, that he’d get anywhere, being that there’s so much competition. So glad to see that he’s gotten this far, because he was a really nice guy!

Raymond Cruz is one of the reasons Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are so great. It's not just the lead characters who are brilliantly cast, but the supporting actors too. There's so much talent out there, and Vince Gilligan and Co. find the perfect people so often.

Seeing him in the movie was even more scarry to me, because i knew a guy around (20 years ago) who just looked like him, even his behavior was similar, and it was always a kind of fear around him because he well known was a ticking time bomb. He was like a cheap, and low level criminal (and bounce man as well) and i never had any problem with him but f*... it was just better walk away from him as far as you can. Seeing this guy in his role was the most scarry snd realistic act i ever seen.
