I also feel like marketing the movie before release is very important. since movies arent as affordable a hobby for all of us as it used to be, producers and distributors have the (unfortunate) need to advertise their product as much as they can to rise above the clutter of the other movies in order to capture enough attention to bring crowds into theatres
