So what is the holy spirit? And what does the Bible mean when they regard Jesus as the only mediator between us and the father? Must we rely on words and connections to be reveal the identy of Mary as something beyond what is required? That's a little risky friend

p.s. porrahis We understand the same words differently because we have to try to understand what it meant the the Jews, not 20th century you and me. What meaning would this have had to a Jew in the 1st century AD? So many of His teaching when taken into that context, would have such a different meaning then than now. For instance, when he says I wish you were hot or cold, but since you are lukewarm I will spit you out of my mouth, there was a deeper meaning. There were three springs in the area around Jerusalem. A hot spring, which soothed your aches and was healing. A cold spring, which gave refreshing water to drink. And a tepid spring which would make you sick. So he wasn’t saying I wish you were on fire for the Lord or completely disregard the Lord, but since you seem like you like the Lord I’m gonna spit you out. He was saying I wish you were healing or refreshing, but since you are sickening I will spit you from my mouth. (Or spew or vomit, depending which translation) so yes, we do need to be looking at everything He said as a first century Jew so we don’t understand things incorrectly. John, at the cross, was not His half brother, he was a relative, but not a brother. The reason we know this, was if He had an actual brother, He would not have needed to say what He said as He was dying. She would have been taken care of, so nothing else needed to be said. If she had any living children, it wouldn’t have needed to be said. She would have someone to take care of her.

@@junelledembroski9183 that's wonderful. I believe that if we seek the Bible for what it's worth, being God's inspired word, rather than what we want it to be in our lives, we would see more and benefit more. I agree🙏🏾

How do you deal with a Protestant who thinks that Mary was a (bleep)
@sarafekadu17515 ай бұрын
protestants worship their pastors not Jesus Christ. they kneel down in front of their pastors and let them put hands on their head and also tell them their problems so that they pray for them. but protestants don't want you to kneel in front of Mary and ask her to pray for your needs and to let her put her hands on your head.
