I bought 5 gallons and paint my stairs every year for the last 8 years or so. It does peel. I’m glad you haven’t had any problems, I have!!!

Thank you for this update. I may use this product to restore a very neglected deck this spring. Your deck looks amazing, by the way.

Thank you for making these update videos. I had a beautiful deck built a couple of years ago and come the next summer it look horrid. The year it was built was super rainy and every time we'd have several days of sunny weather and I'd think the deck would be close to being ready for stain, it would rain for a number of days. This was a cycle from May - Sept. I did stain it in Sept as I wanted it stained before the snow fell but it clearly was too moist and the stain did not adhere at all. So now this year I'm trying to fix it. This paint is super expensive in Canada but might be my best option.

I work in the paint department. I havent any complaints or returns on it. I have heard only amazing things from customers that have used it. We do tell people to do the prep work. Your deck looks good.

I know exactly why yours came out perfect. It's covered against rain and sun while being under the shade. If you ask the majority of the deck owners whose projects failed if theirs is exposed to the rain and sun for several hours a day, then that is why the paint could not last long against extreme heat and trapped water in the boards. Happy to know yours came out as you wanted it.

I put DeckOver on last fall. Looked great. This spring, when the pollen fell, we tried spraying it off with a hose. Nothing moved. We tried scrubbing it - again, nothing. I accidentally tracked dirt onto the deck. When I swept it off with a broom, it left dirt marks where the dirt was swept across the deck. Tried washing that off - nothing. So then I bought Behr's deck cleaner (63). Followed directions and cut the cleaner in half with water. Scrubbed the dirty parts of the deck and it still did nothing to the dirt. If anything, it faded the color of the DeckOver slightly, compared to the parts I didn't try to clean. I saw in the videos that your deck was dirty and wondering if you've tried to clean it? You talked about spraying off pollen. Did that work? By the way, I did the cleaning work while the deck was in the shade, but it does get sun most of the day.

I noticed you didn't show the stairs which are exposed to the elements....How did the Deckover hold up in that location?

I did my dad’s deck for him, he did it in two fazes . At first he just had it covered in waferboard as he called it and he got advanced deck over. I did all the railing, the steps to the pool and wafer board with it. A couple years later when he had me put in the actual decking he had BEHR waterproofing stain and sealer instead of the advanced but swore it was the same stuff. The deck over stuff still looks great but the whole deck that I used the other stuff on is peeling and looks like crap

Even with the lawsuit they still sell it and even raised the price another $10. Its now $45. I may try it still based off your reviews.

I answered this a few times - but will add it to the description. Color is coffee.

He states the colour in his first video when he put it on. You could do a little research on your own instead of yelling at him in caps.

Don't EVER try to remove it lol. It's a killer. You can't sand it off or use stripper. Only the stuff peels easily where the water gets under. Took me three months of hand scraping and an angle grinder finally. Would NEVER use it on an exposed wooden deck again. Fine on our concrete patio.
