Thanks, Brian! Always enjoy your vids. They actually very helpful. I really liked the smooth "cutover" from wah back to normal setting. I didn’t really expect that it would be so smooth. Nice!
@Fergieguitar
@Fergieguitar 3 жыл бұрын
It's a great pedal design but the trick is to set the "release" to about 1 second, any faster and the wah switches on and off mid solo making it sound blocky, but 1 second is smooth.Thanks for the support.

@@chipcaronte I did I’ve had mine for a year now it sounds great as long as you know how to dial in the knobs on the pedal to your liking and when playing with distortion it makes tapping sound so good and effortless on the bridge pickup

@@DeadSensei8269 hey! That sounds nice. I was reading the manual online and it mentions that for better results it should be connected AFTER your drives 👀... Have you tried that by any chance? Also, how do you dial it up and for what type of music?
@DeadSensei8269
@DeadSensei8269 11 ай бұрын
@@chipcaronte I have not tried that since I use the overdrive/distortion from my amp instead of pedals however yes it will sound better in front of the drives and for dialing in the knobs I like to turn the range setting to the highest frequency i turn the Q knob all the way up which controls how vocal you want the wah same with the boost knob which gives your distortion a boost and last is the fine knob which doesn’t affect the tone much but I have slightly over half way up and I use this setting for playing metal because it’s good for lead guitar and shredding

@@chipcaronte and for a clean tone you just press the switch on the side to turn off the boost control (yellow light) and keep the controls the same I use this setting for maybe some reggae or blues but you can play any genre you want with both these settings

I've owned 3 wah pedels. First was an old Boss Volume/Wah that was small and hard to control (traded it let someone "borrow" it). I bought a Dunlop Original Crybaby wah after a few years it stopped working. Got a Dunlop Zakk Wylde wah, after a few years it stopped working off the battery. Few years later, it stopped working off of the outlet adapter. I had haven't owned a working wah in prolly 10 years!

I don't really wanna pay $100+ for something that I've already owned twice and failed. Maybe I got bad luck with Dunlop pedals? I still ain't gonna wear my Original Crybaby shirt any more or buy another Dunlop product.

How exactly does the timed release work? Is it controlled by a knob on the wah, or is it pre-programmed? If I want it to immediately turn off when I take my foot off, can it do that?
@Fergieguitar
@Fergieguitar 3 жыл бұрын
there's an adjuster underneath the pedal, yes you can set it to be instant BUT if you do that the moment you toe up it switches off so can get "choppy", I find that 1-2 seconds is fairly natural
@Fergieguitar

Yes you can, there is an adjuster under the pedal to control the release. I found if set to instant ,when using the wah it was so instant when you went heal down it switched off making it sound a bit unnatural

Hi, i just bought this pedal and it comes before my tc electronic rusty fuzz in my 2-pedal-signal-chain. I notice a weird noise (like when i boil water in a kettle) when the tube amp’s volume, gain are up and the guitar volume is down. And increasing guitar volume doesn’t affect the noise. However, a signal chain of only either one of them makes no noise. Do you have any experience with that noise before? Thank you.
@Fergieguitar
@Fergieguitar 11 ай бұрын
Yeh, my 1st thought is to swap the pedal order round, fuzz is really fussy and rarely like any pedal before them. When the wah is off it's true bypass so almost as if it's not there. Try fuzz 1st then the wah. I hope that helps
@lam-thai-nguyen
@lam-thai-nguyen 11 ай бұрын
@@Fergieguitar I really appreciate your quick response. I have tried the fuzz before and after the wah pedal but there is still that noticable kettle/water boiling noise. The noise is not that bad when I’m playing dirty sound but it’s pretty annoying when it comes to clean sound. Is it right that noise is a part of this wah-fuzz combination and it, to some extent, is acceptable? Thank you.

I use a long thin flat head screwdriver, it's quite subtle, just a 1/4 turn either way makes a huge difference. if it is set to instantly disengage , the wah is choppy and not nice, a second delay is grand for smooth use
