There is a bypass timer adjustment on the bottom of the wah that will adjust the step function.

You could put a little stopper underneath the heel side so that it doesn’t fully turn off.

Loved that amazon box plectrum joke!!!! Bought a t-shirt from Amazon last week, came in a box the size of an old fashioned computer tower.

I have the Hell Babe, an old Cry Baby and a Morley Wah. The Behringer is in my humble opinion the over all best. Good value for the price.

Nice to see you using the Les Paul - thought it might have gone down the road by now. LOL when I first started watching this video I was going to buy you a Dunlop Cry Baby so you’d have a PROPER pedal until you showed the shell of the one you had - then I laughed my butt off. I bought my Cry Baby circa 1968? after hearing Hendrix from outside a concert venue where the doors were locked by the time we arrived late. Listening to Little Wing with his pedal was what sold me. I’ve had to lube the pot to keep it alive all these years, but crackles and all I still use it. I’ve taken many of your recommendations (Vanson vintage humbuckers, the Behringer Vintage Overdrive, various tuners, etc) and enjoyed them all. So gents don’t be afraid to try one of John’s suggestions!! All the very best as always mate!

Sent mine back. The Wah sounded OK but that switch-on arrangement was infuriating. Mercifully there was a fault in the by-pass mode circuit so there was no argument about it being unfit. That was back in 2017. I got a bog standard Vox V845 instead and have been happy with that since then. Good luck to you if you can get used to the switching .

Why is it you can't stop your mouth moving when you use a wah? I can't help but do it !

Just the way it is. It's like asking "how far away is the moon?". No one will ever know.

I have one that fell into my position. I never use it, and it’s because of that disengaged step makes it hard to use as it only leaves a small sweep for the foot to move and disengages too easily and sounds, yeah different as you say. Years ago I had a Crybaby with the switch on the toe, which required a bit of pressure to switch and was way better. That’s what I’m on the lookout for

We’ve had that pedal for a couple of years and it’s excellent 👍😎👌

I bought this pedal as a back up for my Cry Baby. I wasn't impressed. I love cheap gear but this one didn't do it for me.

Hi John that lester sounding superb through that valve amp mate Your looking well👍🏻 Great video Just get a cry baby again

Hellbabe definitely an improvement over auto-wah, or fiddling with a mouse. But the pedal turning off when you back off might be too annoying. Still it sounds useable, glad you have one for some great lessons to come.

Seems like you can simply "bypass" the bypass by stepping on the pedal before striking a note on the guitar. The wah effect itself doesn't sound too shabby at all.

I'm new to Wah pedals, but this seems like it's alright for the price. I could see how the need to depress the pedal would take some getting used to, but it sounded pretty good on the lead stuff.

Can you try it with a metal tone? I know it's not your usual sound but I can't find a decent video about the pedal when being used with metal and your videos are always top notch!

How do you adjust the timer? Just turn it with a small screwdriver?

I bought this and have clicking from the bypass when I take my foot off. Makes it unusable. Did your model not have this problem?
@JRobsonGuitar Жыл бұрын
It is there, but I don't find it a problem as, to me, it's not that noticeable 👍

Hello, John. I got one of those around 2007 or 2008 but I just could not stand it. That switching system is just awful. I had a Digitech pedalboard before that and the optical system worked really nice. As I was building a new stand alone pedals sets by the time (and as everything is really expensive here), I got this Hell Babe wah and it seemed like it had come straight from hell. Fortunatelly, the shop owner was a friend and I returned it. Saved a little more cash and, later on, got a used but gorgeous Vox Clyde McCoy. A few years back, I started to put on a new mini-pedals board and got the Dunlop Crybaby Mini, which was also very good. I still have both (the Vox and the Crybaby) and I wish you hadn't reminded me of this shitty pedal. Don't get me wrong; I do like a lot of Behringer cheap stuff, not only for the money, but because they sound really good, regardless of the price. But, as I said, I just could not stand this Babe out of Hell. Love the channel. Cheers from Brazil.
