How long do we think its gonna take for us to truly take Behringer seriously, they seem to be doing the right things at the moment?

LOL. I've always taken them seriously. But...I've also always taken Casio seriously...LOL...
@scottunrein41785 жыл бұрын
Why aren't you taking them seriously now? Their synth recreations are as good/better than the rest and at a fairer price. Even this one, if you look at the Korg version, Korg's build quality is shoddier (plastic case instead of full metal) and they're charging nearly $1000 more for it. I will personally be first in line for a Behringer CS-80 and Jupiter 8. Yamaha and Roland don't seem to get it right now and Behringer does.
@murimk5 жыл бұрын
Well, I think you have to take them seriously. In terms of synths their churning out what seems to be quality synths at a pace no one can match, and they seem to listen to the wants and needs of their customers. And in general, they are making quality stuff available for people who would never have been able to afford any “fancy” gear - and as such they’re doing what you guys are doing with LABs (even if it isn’t free). ;-)

This is just a stupid trend that goes on for ages. Behringer, like any other company, has shitty products. But they ALWAYS had great products that "professionals" wouldn't admit using because they are cheaper than the competition. Cheap can't be good right? WRONG. I'm a very satisfied Behringer customer for decades. Haters gonna hate.

I just bought the Korg Odyssey Module at the weekend (no room for keys version - so Behringer version not an option for me) and it's an amazing synth. I'm running through tutorials on it to learn about it and this is great timing - very useful... thank you :)
@SRV20134 жыл бұрын
I got rid of my Korg Odyssey because I found that without keys, I barely used it. Not a bad synth at all, but without being able to play it when I wanted to finally turned me away for it. I want to get the Behringer or wait for the Behringer 2600. When is that coming out?

Great tutorial for Odyssey newbies..thanks for your effort in making this video Paul :-) Always wanted one since 1970's but never got one until now!.. its a monster synth, well built, I mean really well built ALL metal chassis, and better than the KARP crap.It also has a sequencer, Arpeggiator, Klarke Technic FX, Full size keys!.. (a must for me) LED (adjustable or off) lighting on every fader, CV in out, Standard 5pin Din Midi, USB midi, for £399.00 thank you Uli Behringer!! :-) Pro One is next on my list...

Read the original Odyssey manual (or Korgs as they reproduced the original manual as well). It’s the same synth so everything you read still applies and is much more detailed. Also contains some cool patches to try out.

Sylvain Maretto Behringer must step game up with midi implementation as both PolyD and ARP odyssey are having many issues when connected with usb to my Mac into LogicX. They get all those synths out but as far as concern explanations in the thin manual or tech support aren’t helpful at all, had to troubleshoot for weeks but again is up to Behringer to work on this synth app. Argh!
@ingolf7411 Жыл бұрын
The Poly D seems to be the more popular "mono/duophonic" synth ("poly" is rather "para") but soundwise the Odyssey offers much more regarding sound capabilities. And the Odyssey is offered used at a much lower rate (I've got mine (mint) for € 350,-). And pairing the Odyssey with the 2600 ... a pure analog dreamland.

@HotStrange5 жыл бұрын
Rob Jarvis Haha yep there is definitely a learning curve to it. It took me a couple minutes to get it to make a sound period and I’m still learning my way around it. The layout is so much different than any other synth I’ve played, but it’s starting to make sense to me now. It’s really a fantastic synth, though. I’ve been consistently surprised at the quality of the built in effects.

Wait whilst the CS80 clone comes out for £500! It’s a great time to be into synths, wish they were around when I started!
@HotStrange5 жыл бұрын
IAAMusic Sorry but there is no way the CS-80 clone will be nearly that cheap. The Deepmind is barely hitting that price point, and it’s quite a bit simpler in comparison. $1500/1350€ seems much more feasible. Which, all things considered, is still a great price. And a price I’d happily pay for something like that.
@wyshwood5 жыл бұрын
I always ignored the hate and checked with my ears. I have mixers and microphones that are perfectly decent, and cost me way less. I now hope to get a Crave when it is released, because their synths sound authentic and have knobs and stuff. I don't get on with software based versions. GO Behringer!

@angelocarbone643311 ай бұрын
Have you checked the VCA level? Even a little will give the synth a constant "drone" sound, ie basically sustain the last note you played. Can be used to good effect when playing a 2nd keyboard simultaneously but otherwise not always wanted.

When it comes to gear I find the market split by people who look down their nose at products not made by the big names, those who use anything they can get hold of due to tight budgets and those who take gear at it's own value, try & see. Oh yes and the snobs who think if it doesn't have the big name on it it's crap. If they're stupid enough to swallow the Emperor's clothes spin that's up to them - more money than sense. Me : does it work? can i afford it? will it break after ten hours? If all good replies - I part with cash.
