Thanks, a short moment and I have to admit it was unintentional 😃. Now when you mentioned it, Mushanga is a nice riff and the brass sounds of the Pro-800 works nicely with it!

Great demo. Just for ppl wondering if PRO 800 really SOUNDS? Yes, and YT (as always) doesn't translate. Those brassy sounds are of course the staple of PRO, but it is really capable and versatile synth. I wish it had a bit more modulation possibilities, but on the other hand what it can do with what it got is really impressive.

Thank you! Yes, it is a very nice synth! The more I play it, the more I like it! There could always be more modulation options, but I feel this is really great value for the money, especially if you like this kind of sound and tone in a synth.

Great video! Thank you for also doing my requests. I love the sound of the Pro-800 it's definitely a winner. Thanks so much for this video and nice playing, really appreciate it! Hope to hear more from you in the future and I've subscribed to you ☺️

Thanks! My pleasure, happy to hear that this is what you wanted to hear! The 800 is definitively a winner, and I may do some more videos in the future with it. Have another one waiting to be explored, a Behringer CAT, so I may do some videos with that one next. Or something else 🙂. Welcome to my channel!

Thanks again! I really enjoy the videos and hope you continue doing them, although I now have a Pro-800 myself, I like hearing others play and I like what you do. I'm pretty overwhelmed with how great it sounds and how flexible it is, bearing in mind I have a Prophet 6, JX3P and others too. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know incase you don't know already, that Behringer have just released yet another firmware update, so you might want to check it out. In the last one they gave it extra envelope options, but now in this new one they have added Polyphonic Aftertouch and they've also doubled the range of the VCF. Just thought I'd stop by to let you know! Thanks again Patson, I look forward to your future videos, hopefully more on the Pro-800 too.

@@fin795 Thanks for your kind words and feedback! Nice to hear you first impressions of the 800! And thanks for the info on the new firmware, I'll need to check it out! Sounds like good additions to the firmware. The poly AT was debated in the forums, if it was a feature or not, since it was not listed in the specifications, but Behringer said that it was in an earlier firmware, but they took it off to make it more stable. Good to hear it is back... although I don't have any keyboards supporting poly AT at this moment. Nice to hear your views on the sound against the background of your other synths. I also have some gear to compare with, like the JU-06A you see in the videos, but also an Alpha Juno 1, D-50, Prophet 08 (which I need to give some more love to), Jupiter-Xm etc. And I really like to immediate feeling and sound of the Pro-800. As usual, I haven't decided on my next video yet. Maybe I'll do a couple more on the Pro-800, if there are some new additions and updates to it. Or then I'll do a series on some other synth 🙂 Thanks again!

@@patsonmusic I remember also reading about the Poly AT, because like you say, people were claiming it shipped with the feature but was removed in the following update, but according to some, behringer claimed it didn't have it at all, but people were certain it did. Funnily enough, yesterday when Behringer announced a new update was due (which has been released today) someone asked them about it being reintroduced and they didn't sound like they were going to bring it back - however this time I noted they didn't deny it was previously there, unlike what people claimed, however today the update is out and it's available again 🤷 haha. Either way, pretty cool. My Prophet 6 has poly AT so I may test it at some point when I get time (I never seem to these days). It's cool you have a Juno Alpha and D50! I also have them, they're great fun. I quite like the PWM on the Alpha, I also think the synth engine on the D50 is more capable than people give it credit for.

@@fin795 Nice coincidence with the synths! When I started playing as a teen I saved up on all money from summer jobs, gifts etc and bought keyboards. My first real synth was the AJ2 which I 2 years later sold for getting a D-50. The D-50 I is the same I bought as new. It was nice reexploring it after it had been lent out to a friend's studio for 10 years, then in storage for another 10 years. I bought the AJ1 about a year ago, when it popped up in the local market. I did not appreciate it back then since everything was going digital, but now it is different. What a beautiful sound it has! I was unaware of the Prophet-6 featuring a poly AT keyboard, nice! Enjoy!

Thanks! What's happening with the rug? Looks like it's moving. Some kind of a strange effect from the camera, I guess.

What have you done to NOT get the note drops when playing five note chords, are there some settings that prevent this? It's easy to recreate when playing the same five note chord repeatedly and release is greater than 0, with more release the issue gets worse.
@patsonmusic Жыл бұрын
Well, in this video I play only brassy sounds and chops, so it is not an issue. With pads and strings I will easily get cut off notes with 5 or 6 finger chords, so there are two ways of handling it. Either I change the way I play, so that I don't play too much overlapping chords or I change chord with 1 or 2 keys staying into the next chord to avoid cut off notes. Or instead of using a longer release, I add enough reverb to the sound to make chord changes more smooth. And there's a third way involving a second keyboard (or splitting the keyboard into two sections), playing the chords with the right hand and lower notes with the left hand using another synth/sound.
@patsonmusic Жыл бұрын
Next video is about strings and there I experience more cut off notes.

@@patsonmusic It looked like you used the preset A-11 together with five note chords, that's the preset I've used as the bad example for note dropouts, or did I read your finger wrong? 😅
@patsonmusic Жыл бұрын
@@LeftwingSFX I had to check it out myself. If you mean from 6:33 onwards I'm playing five finger chords, octaves with the left, three fingers on the rights (and sometimes 1 + 4). I guess the release is so short here that it does not affect the sound that much. With a longer release cut off notes would be audible. And there is some reverb on the sound covering transitions, too.
@patsonmusic Жыл бұрын
@@LeftwingSFX And actually with the A-21 sound from 8:30 I sometimes play 6 finger chords. Short enough release helps.
