@@jayjones2821 don't know why you're asking (can't see progressive anywhere) but to me personally DYMTN style of melodies leans towards progressive and melodic. This is the exact style I personally want to hear a synth do before I buy one. Tho you can do it with every synth some have a more melancholic feel and seem to act easier into these genres. This channel shows that very clearly and imo still the best for synth demos

I just checked the price of this thing.....I cannot afford NOT to get one. What a unit!!!! Some sound its banging out there. I just will not listen any more to the anti Behringer gang. Its a bloody good little synth. Of course...you know what you are doing which helps! Excellent music. Inspirational and beautiful. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. The music is well crafted and does show the potential of this synth. I have a question. Are you sending MIDI to play the notes? Does the Pro VS Mini have the ability to loop a sequence so that one does not have to have an external source sending notes and does not have to hold down any keys or continue to play them?

It's always impossible to tell the audio quality of a synth when external effects are used (especially when it's not even stated which effects are used). I'm guessing some reverb. Sounds lovely though!

You make nice demo vids thank you. I'm going to try out this screechy little Behrvolca tomorrow. The JT-4000 vs the JP-8000 had lame limp envelopes (I suppose to avoid clicks they lazily have forced slow attack rather than sync the waveforms even though it's digital OSCs...) and a generally unsolid tone, and this looks to be the same vs the Prophet VS/Evolver. But both are cheap and both do indeed sound different than Behr's larger analog attempts (which mostly sound too similar to me to buy more than one) and are useful for the high frequency opportunities in an arrangement. If you feel the need to go hardware. This one also has the joystick which may be useful for evolving pads and the like in realtime. Oh and since this filming I think the firmware got improved? So there's that. No true original sound yet anyway, just a damaged "vintage" sound and a clean "modern/bright" one. But I think I found a bit juggler setting that will restore the original tone.

I have a deepmind12 and outside of the Odyssey most are very similar if I'm honest. If the deepmind had a sequencer itd be my favourite of all. Instead I have to route things into it. It's the one downside.

Sounds great but way way too difficult to work with. Triple duty out of the knobs and the thing has a firmware bug and changes to sound don't work with my firmware upgrade to 1.2.

You could have a faulty unit, mine is very easy to use, and the synth is known to have no bug.

@@NatLifeSounds it has internal sequencer. You can even have multiple sequencers acrive at the same time. But your question was, if this was done with the sequencer, and I assume it was made with MIDI over USB and the sequencer isnt playing.

I prefer the Roland S1! The Build Quality and the Soundquality is much better! This Video is "Fake" there are some externel FX. The "Synthi" at itself Sounds like a cheap toy for Kids 😉

The S-1 has a lot of great features like rechargable battery, multiple FX, more flexibility in general, but this has a better range of Prophet style synth sounds if you want that particular sound. Nothing at this price point (hardware) sounds like that, IMO. Honestly the S-1 would sound good with this running into it as a lead and vice versa. Buy the S-1 used, learn it, and get this to add on.

You can try cleaning up that hiss up or not depending upon you use and preference with a sample of the noise and phase inversion. It would thin out some content in that frequency range but if this were to be mixed with other tracks involving different sources, that would lower the overall noise floor.

@@RichardDiaz24 send midi out of your DAW via your audio interface into this unit. Assign track midi number to the same as this unit. Route audio from this unit back onto a track in the DAW.
