I know it's not your gear and I know it's not my headphones, I think with verb it's a really shouty synth. It peaks hard, my ears are not the greatest but this synth isn't something I would use. What was the FX used?

That’s a whole lotta wrong. Keybed, keys, knobs, wood, screen, feel…I hope you can get your money back.

You mentioned the keys twice essentially. I think it's his unit but I just posted the question to a group of UB users, waiting on the answers. Personally all the keys on the one I tried were quiet. QC? The wood is real, he missed the mark on that, unless his somehow has different ones, not that it has anything to do with the functionality of the synth. Some like it, some don't, totally subjective. The screen, yes most people agree it's annoying to move your head to the right because it can't clearly be read from the side. As for the "feel", that's just subjective again. He can likely return it. Dude has some of the top synths out there, of course this will feel immediately cheaper. It is. It feels like a toy next to my X8, like other synths, but the UB can do a lot, sound shaping/layering wise, the X8 simply can not. It has feature no synth has, like the Atrophy. It's a $1200 analog synth with more features than it should have. Something has got to give obviously. Too bad they don't put that synth into a better keyboard and just charge more. I'll likely get the desktop version when it comes out to take advantage of it's sound shaping strengths. I'll sit it right above my X8 and they will play nice together.

@@PureAmbientDrone Then you really should return it. Everyone else got wood it seems. Cheap wood covered in some thick stuff that makes it feel like plastic but wood. Also, the key issue was bad luck it seems. I asked around and so far only one person said they had noise on the keys like in your video, rather on one 1 key. The board I tried was silent which is why I'm asking around. Just curious if this is a thing. Over at GS it was suggested to tighten the screws, that the sound may be coming from contact with the casing in some way. I can't verify that.

This synth gets too much hate its just silly. It has so many features and sounds great. Yeah they should have to put in a better keyboard and better knobs and charge 1495. It would've cost like 50 bucks?

It's not hate for me to tell it how it is. And I clearly state It's not a $2k synth. But the lack of quality control I have personally experienced with Behringer synths is getting old for me. The seller has agreed to return it back to them. That said, it sounds amazing!

Yikes, i hit a nerve... sorry :( im a big fan of yours I was saying across the internet the quality issues have totally overshadowed how much you do get for the money sound wise. They should have skipped the keys and done a desktop version instead. Its a big miss by Behringer.

@derekjurovich all 👍 good. I typed that in a hurry from my ph. Na I get it. It's affordable but wow the keyboard is terrible! And I am disappointed. I mean if you're going to redo a legendary synth show some respect in the areas I discussed here.

@@PureAmbientDrone I believe you mentioned this a few years ago in a few of your videos, maybe as far back as 2018 or 2019? It's hard to believe you are going to return it because it was anticipation for YEARS. Most of these kinks I feel can be worked out. I think you can get some real OB knobs and maybe adjust the keybed or get felt to soften it. Take a step back and think about it considering the sound. It's not a $4K Waldorf Quantum with the screen falling down from poor sticky tape. I mean that's not acceptable!!! The other option you have is to wait for the desktop version if the keys bother you that much.

@@TheCbone1979 the seller has informed me after seeing the video of the key that I have a defective unit.
