Highlight of my trip was seeing Tim at the finish line! I didn't expect it since I was towards the back of the pack, but it was a very special moment to me.

Obviously lots of hard work went into this but he honestly got lucky, doing this without any experience or even getting an event operations plan (this stuff is available online). I’m an experienced event director and have directed a major race as well, I can tell you it’s no joke. You need a team structure, project management tools, and a budget. Even with an experienced team it’s a lot of work. So glad it went well for him in the end!

Billy I’ve watched you off and on for like six years. Not much last few as I’ve not run a marathon in almost 5 years. I listened to this podcast today while driving Lyft and just watched a few videos folks made of this race so think this will be my first back and longest and hardest ever.
