After my first two weeks of (lots and lots and lots of) drawing I tought myself I need a break. But seeing yours work made myself draw even on my "day off" haha.

Very nice and informative video. I'm just a 59 year old lady who likes to draw. I stopped for many years and now am back into it, but I've forgotten so much. Your advice is good. My problem is actually getting around to doing the classes I've already bought and sticking to a routine that works for me. I'm old enough that I remember when there was not internet to share your art on, but it is nice to post and get feedback where you can. At this point, art is just a way to relax when I get home from work. Just a way to have fun, like when I was a youngster, drawing in my room with my headphones on.

It’s so nice, that you started to draw again to relax after work! :)

Thank you for making this video. I've tried to draw and share what I made multiple times and when what I made was ignored by everyone I fell into spirals of self hate and depression that eventually made me quit. I hope this video helps others avoid falling into the same hole.

Oh no that makes me so sad to hear! Posting your art can be so destructive sometimes. I used to be so sad back then when I noticed that some of my art wouldn’t get the views that I wished for or people would unfollow me. Did you pick up the pencil again? Thank you for sharing this!
@fiaschampion3379 Жыл бұрын
@@dilarameryemart I did pick it up again recently after one of your videos was recommended. I won't be posting or showing it to others now though. Perhaps someday my little notebooks will be found by someone.

Another benefit of going to art school is the friends you make. You will learn as much if not more about art by hanging with your friends and sharing ideas, drawing together and analyzing together.

I noticed it after years of trying. I can make sculptures from imagination but had a hard time drawing from imagination. Then I realized that if I pretended I was doing a sculpture, I would be able to more easily draw what I had in my mind. Then I saw a video from Steven Zapata that he calls "drawing form from imagination" which basically means drawing 3d shapes from imagination. Then it all clicked eventually.

This feels so nice to hear, I've never felt comfortable with my own art because I don't have a direction I wanna go with so it gets really complicated when I want to learn something from scratch because I feel like I can't learn it the right way and I'm too insecure online or in person to try to seek advice from someone, this makes me wanna learn more and be confident ❤❤

Great video! Thank you for all the tips! I can recommend Proko! I'm taking some courses there, not only will you get the well structured course, you'll also get the community that will give you feedback on your assignments if you ask for it.

OMG This channel is so awesome, started going to art classes this year and you're completely right teachers help alot you can progress way faster than what it would normally be (How do you draw the eyes like that I just cant get it right and I've tried so much)
@dilarameryemart Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! :) yes it is so true! Puh i am really bad at explaining things like that in text but I guess I start by blocking in the eye sockets and then i think about the eyeballs. based on that I can then start drawing the eye with the shadows :)

I feel like to be good at art you have to put forth the effort and have a reason or a meaning why you want to be a artist but I am not for sure. But me personally when I went to art school they told us if we did go to art school and graduate then get a job in are field we get paid more for experience.
@dilarameryemart Жыл бұрын
Oh I actually don’t know if you will get paid more with an art degree in that particular field. I often heard that skill is what matters and not how you got there. I need to read about this more in depth! Thanks
