If you have decides to be vegan because of lacking vegetables. Then, take proteins as much as you want in Korea. Any restaurant would provide you with meat with a lot of vegetables. I believe that you should have balanced nutrients at any time. AND, don't miss out on one of the most delicious worlds.

I came to Korea as an exchange student and vegetarian lol at first i thought i was gonna starve but then discovered that Seoul has a lot of options for vegetarians, there are also vegan options (im not sure if it is as easy as vegetarians tho) I went to Ewha university and there are at least 4 places nearby offering vegetarian & vegan non-traditional options there (one of my korean friends introduced me to 1 of them so make sure to ask locals as well they can help u find good places),the uni had vegetarian bibimbap as well, as far as i remember bibimbap can become vegan if u remove the egg on top, just ask the restaurant to do so, and make sure u dont use the red sauce, as far as i know thats neither vegan or vegetarian Even in traditional restaurants there might be vegetarian options beside bibimbap, like the egg roll, cheese ttekbokki and kimchi panckae (they told me they dont use animal ingredients there) but u should always ask first ofc cause not all restaurants cook it the same I also went to Indian restaurants (soo good!!) But overall in every neighbourhood of Seoul that I explored i did find vegetarian food, so i didnt starve at all, ate a lot actually lol and the food is so good and delicious I also went for western vegetarian food in some cases like pasta, pizza or burger So make sure to explore the internet, neighbourhoods, and ask the people around you and you’ll find vegetarian & vegan gems in Seoul lol especially in Insadong, there are 2 great vegan places there just google Insadong vegan restaurants Also, the other reason why I did find so many places is cause im a huge foodie and i explored Seoul by feet a lot! Like 30-40k steps a day just exploring Seoul during my days off So my tip is explore the internet & the city, also ask the locals, as i said some of these places were introduced to me by the locals and enjoy South Korea!! Its a wonderful place to be in ❤️

사실 한반도는 바다가 삼면에 있어서 해산물이 너무 많았던 나라인데다가 산도 많아서 먹을게 많은 나라였음 불교가 오랫동안 뿌리를 내려서 채식들이 많이 발달하는데 큰 역할을 한것임

채식반찬의 종류는 무지막지하게 다양하긴 한데 외식의 경우는 아무래도 우리나라 사람들이 육류가 있는 쪽을 선호해서 채식을 전문적으로 하는 식당은 적은 편이죠. 거기다 채식의 정도에 따라 생선 혹은 젓갈류를 모두 원하지 않으면 한국에선 본인이 직접 장을 봐서 음식을 만들지 않고선 식당에서 채식을 하는 난도가 더 어려워진다고 합니다. 전 비린 거 빼곤 닭,돼지,소 가리지 않고 잘 먹는 사람이라 잘 모르다 그 이야기를 듣고 보니 길거리 식당에서 순수 채식을 할 만한 식당이 생각보다 적다는 걸 뒤늦게 인지했습니다.

추천!!! 채식을 하고 싶으시다면 반찬가게에 가셔보길 추천합니다. 나물로 만든 반찬들이 많고 때론 잡채도 고기 안넣고 만드는곳도 있으니까요. 동네 시장에 가면 몇곳씩은 거의 있더라구요.

I was in korea shortly before the pandemic as a vegan in a group of people who eat everything and it was veeery difficult. You can go to specifically veggie restaurants but if you go to normal places you barely can find anything vegetarian, and even less vegan. A big part is the fish soup in everything. But the vegetarian, vegan food that does exist is delicious. I think many korean dishes could actually be turned vegan well, it just has to become more popular in the country to happen. And I hope it will so that when I come back itll be easier for me :^)

같은 종류의 채소 반찬도 봄에는 섭취가 가능히나 여름 가을에는 독초 취급,, 그저 선조들에게 감사할 따름... 쑥을 예로 들면 종류는 살짝 다르지만 유럽에서는 독초 취급인데 한국에서는 봄 쑥은 없어서 못먹을 정도임

의외로 김치나 여러 반찬류에 새우젓이나 멸치액젓 같은게 들어가서 진짜 엄격한 채식이 어렵기는 함. 근데 외국보다 채식의 스펙트럼이 훨씬 넓기도 함. 외국에서는 산에서 이상한 풀을 따다가 먹지는 않는데, 우리는 산에서 따서 먹는 개맛있는 풀만 수십 수백 종류니까… 그거 참기름 소금에 버무리면 그게 채식이지 뭐.😂

비건 음식... 두부 전문점 가보시는 건 어때요? 개인적으로 고두리 버섯전골 좋아해요! 물론 그 가게도 고기가 굉장히 맛있긴 하지만 버섯전골은 고기 없는 메뉴에요! 새우가 조금 들어있긴 한데... 그건 빼달라고 하시거나 하면 될 것 같아요! 보리밥? 드신 것 같은데 맛있게 먹었다니 너무 좋네요! 맛있는 끼니로 건강하게 드시길 바라요!😊

While I was visiting South Korea for the first time with a group of friends that have been there before, one of them was vegan and showed us to two places with vegan food, a burger place and then a restaurant that was very stylish and comfy. We ate twice at the vegan restaurant that was very influenced by italian cooking. I don´t rememeber their locations, but I hope they are still there.

기본적인 전통 한식집은 채식주위 식단이 있는 곳도 많아요. 최근 쌈밥 집도 많아지는대 채식 위주로만 먹을 수도 있고요. 문제는 채식하시는 분들도 먹을 수 있는 부분(예: 계란, 생선) 이 있어서 참고하고 검색해서 찾으면 많아요. 영상 잘 봤습니다.~

Being Vegan in the UK even harder than being vegan in Korea. British people are notorious for hating animals and eating dogs and cats even. Dog sausges are regularly eaten by Scousers. Smoked minced Cat Pie is considered delicacy in Manchester.

기억나는 음식이라면 전남 순천 송광사앞 식당에서 먹었던 비빔밥이네요.. 특히 도라지향이 미쳤어요.. 10여년전이라 아직도 같을지는 모르겠지만.. 합천 해인사근방에도 저의 친정 양산 통도사 근처에도 사찰음식점 꽤 있습니다..
