In summer I spent 7 days on my bicycle totally alone travelling across islands to Ireland. I spoke to a few people, of course, but even just that small talk was draining. I spent many nights lying in a sleeping bag looking up at the stars with nothing but music from my phone. Next year I will probably do a month of this, if I can. Sheer bliss.

I've had enough disappointments for about 3 lifetimes. I have lost the hope in relationships, but find gratitude in basic and small things like the sun, water, shelter, food, plants, etc. Sometimes I am happy, it has been extremely difficult but I have managed to cultivate brutal strength and I plan to use it for the good of my immediate environment constantly through small acts, and if I die tomorrow or in 100 years I can say that I am proud of myself for trying my best. that I could with my knowledge and experience. To be a balanced and inspiring force armed with knowledge knowing that in the end we are all one, that is why you have to be good to make this life less of a nightmare.

I've been on my own since 1991, I love it, no relationship, I've got friends, but when I come home, it's so peaceful, I tried relationships, I had a few when I was 19, they didn't last more than a couple of weeks, I walked away for a few years and stupidly, at the age of 24, I entered another relationship, it lasted 28 days, once it ended, I decided that was it, I never looked back, never lived with anyone, I don't care that I'm judged, I'm happy, I'm knocking on the door of 60, I don't think about getting involved in a relationship, I work, I go home, I'm debt free, I've got everything I need, this lifestyle suits me

Funny thing.. During the lockdowns I was able to focus on work and surpass all of my so called friends. I say so called friends because they are jelous of my success, not one of them congradulated me on my efforts. Being alone made me shut off the world and submerge myself in my work. As a 28 years old, sometimes I tell my parents that I'll go outside and spend hours for the whole day at the library alone, using coloring books. Using crayons for Coloring book alone in a different enviroment with no technology gives me peace and clears my mind as therapy. Also increases my creativity and focus to get things done one at a time without hearing my mom's voice for annoying chores that I'm not responsible for.

I think people that have a problem with being alone don't want to be alone but they may not have an option. So many say they have no family, or friends or even relationships but the issue is they want that. When one doesn't have a choice or a option in the matter they will see things differently than someone who is choosing to be alone. Mental health has become a big problem in society lately. That mindset might be similar to any publicity (friends, family, relationships) is better than no publicity. Not that I agree with that but I believe many people will take that over nothing.
