我很快就會有新的影片 :) This video is my personal experience and my opinion regarding the differences on being black in China and being black in Taiwan. The purpose of this video, is give people an insight into what is like to live in Asia as a black person. We must keep in mind that the behaviour of some does not represent the behaviour of an entire nation. Nor am I saying that one group of people are better than others. I am merely stating my own opinion. Thank you to everyone who has watched my video. I will have a new video out soon :)
Glad to hear that your experience in Taiwan is mostly positive! I do hope we can all do better and still learn to be more respectful to people we aren’t so familiar with since foreigners in Taiwan are still minorities. And just leave everyone with a good impression and experience coming here. Please give us some time to improve and I believe this society will learn how to embrace diversity better

I hope every single person can learn about respect, and how to respect one another :)
it was nice to hear your perspective! I love what you said... just treat everyone as a person. People focus WAY too much on skin color sometimes. Every person is beautifully made in God's image, regardless of color. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream... that his children would NOT be judged by the color or their skin, but on the content of their character....let's treat everyone with dignity, value different culture aspects, but stop obsessing about color.

I am Taiwanese, and I believe most of Taiwanese welcome you, the other part are just not knowing you, but I don't think anyone will dislike you in Taiwan. At least I never see or hear anyone dislike people just because of the skin colors.

That’s good to know. Thank you for watching my video 😊
I like how you present and explain your experiences. As you mentioned, there are always nice people and bad people everywhere. Taiwan is no exception. However, it's true that most Taiwanese people are educated, friendly and willing to keep an open mind towards foreign ideas, things and people. Some Taiwanese might show their curiosity without thinking too much, therefore they might appear a bit blunt. But they really are not mean people. I'm not saying there are not at all mean people, but they are in an abolute minority. Wish you enjoy your stay here in Taiwan and make good friends.

Came here from YGZ. Really interesting to hear about your different experiences.
I am a hongkonger, I think Hong Kong also is a nice place. General Hong Kong people are educated and open mind that welcome people from all around the world. Hope you would like to travel in Hong Kong. 🇭🇰🇭🇰 by the way I love your British accent❤️
That was really insightful! I didn't have wonderful experiences being Black in Japan and South Korea but I've heard that Black, Brown and dark-skinned people overall have more pleasant experiences in Taiwan, Thailand and Hong Kong :) I wonder what my experience will be in those countries!

Oh wow really, what was it like in South Korea and Japan? I have a black friend who just moved to South Korea, I have never been there myself before. I’ve been to Thailand and Hong Kong but only to travel. Generally speaking it was fine 😊

@@ShaShaLi The racism I experienced in South Korea was pretty direct and ignorant while the racism I experienced in Japan was subtle and ignorant. I have a video about being Black in Japan if you're interested. Taiwan is my next destination so I'm searching for Black In Taiwan experiences! Really glad you filmed this 🙏🏾

YGZ Taiwan sent me here. Loved hearing your perspective since I’m considering moving to Taiwan 🇹🇼 in the next few years. Seems like 2 very different experiences between China and Taiwan in terms of how people behaved around you

@@ShaShaLi Honestly from my impressions Kaohsiung looks the best for me. I’ll be following my career remotely so finding local work isn’t an issue.

Hello, I’m Taiwanese. I watched your video. I don’t keep watching when I see foreigners on the road. Even if I look at it, I’m not because I’m afraid that I will make them feel uncomfortable. I think you’re cool. I use Google Translate, so the grammar is strange, welcome to Taiwan ❤️

Hi let me comment because I was inspired by your video. I’m Japanese and I don’t speak Chinese well. When I go to stores, people talk to me in Chinese first, but after they know I don’t speak Chinese, they switch to English. So, I feel Taiwanese people are willing to understand you even if you’re foreigner☺️

Thank you Miss Sha Sha Li, I am sorry to have had so many unpleasant experiences with you in Asia, thank you for your tolerance and willingness to continue to explore the world and share. It was through this video that I learnt that my black friends really don't like having their hair touched, so I will take note of this although it is normal. But I have the impression that my black friends often give me a sense of wonder when it comes to styling their hair, thank you! ( DeepL translation) Thanks for another video with YGZ about 3 vegetarian restaurants, might need it, and thanks to my Indian friend for this gift.
