All throughout their lives, women and girls must face various types of discrimination that greatly compromise their future prospects. During this International Women’s Rights Day, FIDH will be highlighting this sad fact in a video. FIDH reminds us that the struggle is not just for a day, and calls for actions to continue daily so that women’s rights can progress.

i'm not against women rights, actually i think we truly deserve human rights as species and not as men or women (excepting by punctual cases). but this vid is showing hard numbers and taking out of context info, that as we can see is selling us the idea "being girl is fight for your life even before birth". Now i understand the point and i know that being women in some contries as south africa, turkey, afghanistan and many others is very difficult, but there are many other where women born free, they are not oppressed, i think we should not turn this idea about "women are oppressed since they're born" into a reallity, cause if you check the stats and info about men from those places you'll see they're suffering, dying and being abused... since they're born too, don't show men as a rabid wolfpack trying to destroy women, instead we should restructure the concept of being human to reach the true equality, and join forces to dissolve our discrepancies.
