This was a sweet, heartfelt, soul food interview - something that’s very rare with Afrobeats artistes.
He spoke with an open heart about the pressures of having a hit song when signed to a hit label like Mavin.
How that tension, that fear, that self-doubt can be crippling and how he survives the humongous pressure of expectation.
He tells me about the person who recently spoke down on him and his talent and how he handled that situation. And how adversity like that inspired his last single.
Then he tells me about his mother’s illness that breaks his heart daily today and how he manages to handle that and handle a career whose dreams are yet to be fulfilled.
Magixx is very special - and deserves every success he has gotten and those he is yet to get.

Firstly, I don't understand why he wouldn't repeat cloth but that's stressful. And secondly,i think the reason why this comment section are hating on him is because of what he said about mavins. The truth is bitter. Being in mavins,a huge successful label like that makes people's expectations high. And because some of you guys feel threatened by the truth you guys decided to tag the blame on him. Anyways,if your dream is to be among mavins artists,you ought to work hard. You have to earn it. @@o_m8717 i think you're wrong. Mavins seems to be promoting ayrastar more than the others. Because she has a lot of hits,all focus have been on her. Crayon have been in mavins a long time but how far has he gone. Johnny drille is a very talented artist,but how much did they promote him. Among the whole mavins artists, they're investing a lot on ayrastar. I'd say they give their artists creative freedom so as to let them showcase their talents. Many major labels are only concern about their profits which is why they tend to make an artist do exactly what the company wants and this leads to us the audience not getting something new. Rarely new sounds or style. They only do that particular style just because it has been giving them money

I was going to watch another video but I saw Magixx and I had to stop. I like the Mavins artistes but I've not really cared about any the way I love Magixx, he feels unique to me.
