Much respect, living with mental health issues is fucking hard. People don't like to talk about it because others don't understand at all, and it's not necessarily their fault that they don't, but it is fucking hard living with mental health issues. I respect Elro for making this video and being so open about his experience with it

I can relate to this guy massively with the mental health side of things and I absolutely love the fact he does music like he's such a character and a good bloody guy

Woah, I had no idea he had depersonalisation (DP/DR). I was diagnosed with it as a teenager (triggered by sudden stress, not drugs) and he described it really well. I remember going for walks and feeling leaves and tree bark but my brain couldn't comprehend that I was physically touching them. I also felt no connection to any people on Earth, as if I was alone in a goldfish bowl. It's like a mild trip that you can't escape. Eleven years on, it has calmed down but it can still be made worse by things such as artificial light and too much screen time so I'm careful with how I live my life. Glad to see Elro is on the up, too. Top man!

Totally resonates with me this comment. Be interested to know more about this. Exactly how i feel(no drugs etc). Trauma based for me. How you feeling these days?
@SongBillongАй бұрын
@brighty7905 Sorry to hear you've been going through this as well. It's now been 15 years and it's definitely far less intense than it was (so have faith that it'll calm down for you, too!), although artificial light still makes it worse. Overall, though, time has been a great healer!

Big up Elro, every word was honest and imperative to be spoken about in today's society. Keep at it stay strong

Keep at it Elro, those who know what they are really hearing will know you have been putting out sickness for bare time. Some people don't get your unorthodox style, others just get hung up on appearance. However, when you do your thing on point, you are a master of your craft and a lot us know that. Keep fighting the demons and keep grinding at your craft 🙌

I first got dpdr 3 1/2 years ago when I was 18 after cannabis use. I’ve ended up relapsing twice in that time and so only actually spent 2 1/2 years of that with the symptoms. (I’m currently 15 months clean and I promise myself to never touch the stuff again no alter how hard it gets). I remember watching elros warm up session and having the thought in my head I often get when watching videos which is ‘I bet this guy doesn’t suffer with what I’ve got’ and then low and behold I find this video. Big up Elro for describing this hard to explain disorder so well and for fighting through it to be able to make more music. I love the jdz story teller as it really hits home with my own thoughts from having this disorder and being suicidal ❤️🐐
