Salam alekum. From one gay Muslim to another you are strong beautiful inside and out my sister. Inshallah other Muslims will understand that in Islam and other religions that believe in god that sin is sin. Allah looks at sin all the same and we are all sinners in the eyes of Allah. Most people do not know that you can be any thing and anyone and follow Islam because Islam is perfect muslins are not. Love your video

Girl, that was very impressive, I'm proud that a Muslim girl just shows that it is okay to be both gay and muslim. Wish my parents would understand the fact that I am a Muslim lesbian. Respect to you and to your parents

Hey there, I stumbled on this video from tumblr. I just want to say that your bravery is truly inspiring at such a young age. I'm also arab, gay, muslim, and 25 yrs. I'm always glad to hear that when muslim families are somewhat supportive to the idea of having a gay child. But most reality that is not the case. I was disowned by my parents when they found out, but it is not the worst thing in the world, the world did not end for me. What was more terrifying was still being in the closet. For anyone afraid that their outcome would be like mine, be prepared for it. Have a support system outside of your family, figure out living arrangement with your friends, gf/bf, and talk to the LGBT hotlines on some advice on what to do. It will be okay.

Wow! Mashallah that you came out! Coming out Mubrook! lol. This was really nice since it was a shout out to all the gay muslims out there. I find that coming out is one thing (the hardest part) but then there are also other things for example, trying to find our place in the european-white LGBT community, which doesnt fit our values. Being raised muslim we are taught to speak our minds in a intellegent way keeping the idea of modesty, and not being a proud (vain) person. This really clashes with the euro-white LGBT approach. Then the other thing is where to find gay muslim men/women!

I'm gay and muslim, and i'm happy about myself. The only thing i can say is that this struggle is between me and Allah. And sister, Allah loves you and me and every muslim. Even if we are gay, nobody knows i'm gay in my reallife. I'm scared to say it but i hope one day everything will be okay.

Wow! Congratulations on coming out and on this video! You're so brave! :) What a groundbreaker you are! I am a Lesbian but not Arabic or Muslim. However, I just found out the great group, Muslims for Progressive Values, which I totally support, just opened an Arabic MVP in December 2013! This is great news! Prior to that they had groups in the USA, Canada, France, Chile, Australia and South Africa. FYI in case you are not aware of them, they accept and support women and LGBTQI people and their Imams even perform same-sex marriage ceremonies. Since you are Muslim you might be interested. :) : facebook.com/MPVarabic

You are truly brave. I am not Muslim but I am in love with a Muslim girl (I am also a girl). I am at a real cross road with her. She is very religious but there is something different about her idk. She is the kindest most beautiful person I have ever met. We are really close. She trusts me with everything! I want to tell her how I feel because part of me thinks she feels the same. Then the other part knows she would never consider actually being with me. I just don't think I can go on just being her friend. It hurts to much because I will always want more. The worse part is I have never felt like this with anyone else. And I don't think I ever will. Idk I just really love her.

***** Yeah I don't plan to. Just wish I could. I am just going to keep my distance. Because I only want the best for her.
@thatgayarab607010 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) Don't tell her, but sometimes it's tough living life with a "what if". Do tell her if you ever feel comfortable enough, though.

lacy jones That sounds like a tough one for so many reasons. It's like taking it, but with religion tied to it. I know this is a year on but I'd like to know what has happened between you two. Whether you decided to go for it or hold back. :) Message me through Tumblr. wewillrakiya.tumblr.com

Its brave for you to come out , I don't really agree with the idea of being gay. Because of Islam and it's not allowed , however no one should be discriminated against hate the sin not the sinner people !

Wisdom out of the mouths of babes. At the age of 14, I was still in my denial phase.

Thank you :) Ah, the denial phase is the worst. Luckily, I had it when I was around 10ish-11ish and not during my later teenage years.
