The guy having his leg amputated w/out anesthesia is a living miracle to survive. That is cruelest and most traumatizing thing I have heard someone having to go through. How can they operate on something by just sawing off a body part like cutting vegetables?! Thank you for sharing and letting them speak their experiences. It is terrible to hear how so many people in North Korea suffer from famine, yet in other countries a lot of food go to waste.
@coffeemannypd
@coffeemannypd 5 жыл бұрын
Being a doctor myself I can only imagine they did not have the tools nor the medicine to operate properly. You cant locally anaesthecise such a huge area because the accumulated dosage needed for such a long operation would be fatal, so only a full anaestethic would be a viable option, but that requires a respirator which they probably didnt have. They probably only had a manual bonesaw, no electric tools we use nowadays and even with proper tools operating on a legbone is physically demanding. Because of the lack of tools the probably had to cut off the hand, because operating on the fingers would require specialised, small tools and expertise in handsurgery they probably did not have. I can only make a guess, of course, but the decision the surgeon had to make was either let the child die to his severe injuries, or perform an operation under horrible conditions without any ressources we take for granted in modern operating theaters. It must have been horrible for everyone involved, but it was either that or certain death for the child.

Every single video you released are so informative and eye opening. It hurts to see how much pain these people has to go through living in that secretive country. The story of the defector who had to go through so much pain including having his leg and hand amputated without anesthesia makes me realize how little some people cared about others in that country.

Asian Boss ... Please, just tell me how about S.KOREA ?? Are they not giving any help to this precious people who luckily escaped ?? I a. A bit confused here...How is this possible if it is ?? If understood correctly he is now there right ? Or even China...I know that neither China, neither S.Korea would let him go hungry... Would appreciate some clarification....My heart is aching for N.Korea nation... We were born and lived under communism regime until 1985...when came locally to USA...We made this change for our two teenager sons ,s future... Never in our life we were treated like this back in Europe... To me N.Korea is not communist but tyranny...unbelievable... BY ALL MEANS FEEL STRONGLY THAT THIS CRUEL MAN BE REMOVED... BUT PLEASE...NEVER TO HARM THESE ALREADY SUPPRESSED NATION...THEY HAVE TO STAY ALIVE... THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO REMOVE HIM...WITHOUT WAR...TO SEE THEM DIE... With all due respect, what are you talking about? China sends N. Korean defectors back, and China is and has been the financial bulwark that's allowed N. Korea to survive financially for the past few decades. China wouldn't let them go hungry? I have nothing against the Chinese, and I understand their motivations, but this comment is laughable. China sends defectors back to N. Korea. S. Korea has had at one point a "Sunshine Policy." Massive amounts of aid was given to N. Korea. The USA at one point also gave incredible amounts of aid. Did that go to the poor who need it most? What do you think? It's the same in African countries ruled by despots too. The Aid simply makes it way to the powerful anyway. S. Korea also gives N. Koreans free education, monthly allowance, and offers them other social programs to help them get integrated into S. Korean society. There are, in fact, even popular TV shows centered completely around N. Koreans giving their point of view. KZbin 이제 만나러 갑니다 or 모란봉 클럽. I mean no disrespect, but for someone writing so passionately, perhaps you should read up on the topic more before. This is a very difficult political and social situation that you seem to be taking too lightly just shouting "what is S. Korea doing?" "what is China doing?"

Paul Drien some people in S.Korea believe North Korean defectors are all spies and they're gonna destroy the southern society. personally i think that opinion is thinkable because we've been in a serious war and politicians have been talking North Korea as a enemy in last 50 years. so the people's thoughts haven't changed a lot....its a shame that we're not helping our neighbors.

@mianatalie2443
@mianatalie2443 7 жыл бұрын
로빈 Malnutrition does result in being short,.. this is pretty basic information. There's some vital factors that play into whether or not you reach your potential height ; if you are neglected as a child you will have a growth deficiency and become short , or if you are malnourished from you are a child. Of course some nations are just shorter, but North Koreans could become taller if they were able to get the same food as South Koreans; I mean South Koreans are very tall these days right? This is over many years, because their resources became better.

ordinary north koreans are malnourished, poor, physically weak and powerless. North Koreans are inches shorter than South Koreans due to the Kim terror regime causing malnourishment while they stuffed their faces to get fat in oppulence. The problem is its not jjust the Kims, there is a rulling class within the military elite and political that hold the system together. Virtually all the little money NK has goes towards the military its not to protect NK people from outside but the regime from its own people. Same for the nukes.

Thank you for the videos you make. Can you please make a video about christianism or other religions in North Korea? I have known some people who went there in the early 2000s, and I have heard things like underground churches. There are also those "churches" that the NK government shows to the foreigners going there. But can we have some testimonies from NK defectors? Thanks a lot again for your videos!

HwasinK From what I heard, they do not allow any religions in North Korea. They cannot even celebrate Christmas either. Instead they celebrate the birthday of the dictator's grandma who was born around Christmas. Life in North Korea is a living hell.

That what I heard too, but I heard many stories about underground churches in NK and I'd like to know what the defectors know about it.

They do have churches and temples but thats for foriengers. They make ppl to belive kim jung en as God. Why do they need another god to believe? There are christians who believed since before the division but very few

What I understand is that those underground churches are in china, run by south Korean or occasionally by the Korean chinese minorities. They are humanitarian aids for the north korean, helping them out to be out of China. These churches get tracked down by China or on a few occasions some pastors were murdered in china by 'north korea' which will never know the truth of it. Korean pastors with western citizenship travel into north korea and they probably tried to find a way to help these people and get captured and sent to a labour camp in north korea.

God damn, when I watch these videos I'm blown away at how horrible it is for the NK people. I believe all of it because they speak about it not to be dramatic but just as it is a matter of life. No different then if I told a story about when I rode a bike for the first time. I really wish the media would focus more on the people suffering and not on the NK government and their nukes.

Thank for watching this video.Thanks Asian Boss !!!!!!!!!!!!

Grim Song how so? Slaves were not starved to death, or were homeless. They worked without being paid, but they had a place to stay and food. Two different things. He described what people usually went through after or before a war more, than slavery.

hen i went to South Korea, there was alot of talks about reunification and it seem pretty split opinions. I however cant see why people would want too. Just imagine the North and South unified , wouldn't the northern government would try to influence the southern style of living? If they adopt half the practice of the north, life would still be pretty terrible. Hopefully, if they do unified they do it without the northern kim regime.
