Wow, I am so excited to see this video on Jean-Paul Sartre's "Being and Nothingness"! I've always been fascinated by Sartre's philosophy and this introduction seems like a perfect starting point for diving deeper into his ideas. The way the video promises to explore the key concepts and provide an in-depth analysis just adds to my anticipation. Can't wait to learn more! Keep up the great work!

Is his novel Nausea going to be mentioned in this series? I read the novel and since then it has left a mark on me.I think it is brilliant. I try to read also Being and Nothingness but it is very hard. I am grateful for your work!!

Thank you for your comment. I'm pretty sure it will come up at some point. Sadly I haven't read it in about 20 years, so I have to return to it before speaking about it. This would be as good of a time as any to do so!

Ay! It's the first work of philosophy I actually read for myself! Also, what's up with Proust? Dude plays a large role in D&G as well. Eventually I'll get around to In Search of Lost Time, I guess.

French philosophers love their literary figures and artists and are the wellspring for much philosophizing. Proust is such a richly descriptive writer. Mallarmé and Baudelaire are also highly prominent in 20th century French philosophy.
