Broke my arm twice as boy playing for Stranraer Academy against Kirkcudbright Academy. 😢 Played a couple of games with Stranraer Reserves against St Cuthberts in the late 70s, great memories. Lovely place to visit people.

Huge admiration for this chairperson and her colleagues. This is how i love my football at grass roots and have witnessed similar at other clubs that just would not exist but for those people loving it and making it what it is for the benefit of all of us.

Been a few times in the 90s to Kircudbright to visit friends and yes it’s a friendly place alright. I said I would get Nicky Weavers (MCFC) autograph for one of the lads in the pub, and when I next went up there I was treated like Royalty for doing as I promised. I also did the Half Marathon too.
