Matti Holden - I have a HUGE problem with your channel, just hugh I tell you... I seem to have run out of new videos to watch! 😂😂😂 But honestly, love the work you're doing. I hit that icon to catch up as soon as you post. Thanks so much for the fun content 🤗🌻 (*Hugz from this Canadian gal.)

Thank you so much for your lovely words. I have family in Canada, and I visited them one summer. Their lives are so much better there than they might otherwise have been, and they are truly grateful. Sorry for the lack of new content :) My next video will hopefully be done soon - a reaction to the same old hate comments that the people of faith hit back with. Big hugs right back to ya x

In "Shooting an Elephant," Orwell writes "He wears a mask and his face grows to fit it". It works both ways, for bad and for good.

1:35 That's cute. Someone should make a meme out of that. I could imagine a little beer in her right hand. Maybe a caption saying "Fuck off." or something. Lol. I want to tell you something that I tell EVERYONE with kids that age. They need complex melodies. Bach, bop jazz, Thelonious Monk, Coltrain, Parker. It's not woo. It's really true. Check this out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmKZh3-Hg8mDg68 Isn't that amazing? It's not JUST about perfect pitch though but that skill, no matter what she's chosen, that's a great skill to have.

Matti, you must be a strong believer in the concept of free will and control, are you ? I honestly don't get the idea of having a choice of what to think ... ? What do you mean by that ? Or by choosing what to feel ?

Vagabond_Shadow Actually, that’s a very good point! 😆 If I’m honest, I don’t believe we have free will at all! 😂 I believe we should still make the effort to make the right choices with our thoughts and behaviours. Although ultimately, like you seem to be suggesting, all our thoughts, words and actions are the way they are because of everything that preceded them! Therefore, it’s not REALLY free will at all 😂 I still think it’s important to try and do the right things though. I know that doesn’t make complete sense! 😂 On a practical level, I still believe it’s possible to reduce the amount of time you spend suffering, for example, by changing the way you think - even if that isn’t exactly free will 🤣

@@MattiHolden - "... I know that doesn’t make complete sense! 😂..." - Indeed it doesn't. Yet, even if it's just the illusion of control, it feels good when it works our way, doesn't it ? I mean I know a movie isn't "real" or a computer game is virtual reality but it feels good every now and then. It is OK I guess if the "decisions we make "go with the flow" so to speak. We feel good and smart and.....all that. But I feel sorry for those who's decisions go against the flow, they get to beat themselves over the head and fall into the low self-esteem and depression pit . Well , I guess that's the other side of the coin, the ugly head of free will concept. That side doesn't get mentioned too often, or so it seems. *"...can you imagine how good I feel right now...?"* - I believe I can. Thank you both. For sharing

Vagabond_Shadow Vagabond_Shadow and thank you. I agree with everything you just said, and in part, maybe unsuccessfully, I’ve tried to do my little bit to try and help. Thanks again for your comments. Take care
