My mom too had spoken curses(I was going to never excel, my hair was going to fall out, I was going to be ugly and no one would ever marry me) over my life too. But by the GRACE of God, not even a month after breaking the nonsense spoken by her, not only did I meet my wonderful husband, but we were engaged within 6 months and got married on our 1 year anniversary. When I announced to my mother that I was engaged, she hung up the phone on me cuz she was in shock.... God is soooo forgiving and merciful! I love Him!! FYI: even tho I'm her first born and only married child (of 3), she couldn't make it to my wedding.
