Well done Linda, another great climb and film. My late Uncle lived for many years near Loch Maree and he spoke about his love of Ben Damh many times, it was his favourite hill in the area even though he’d climbed all of the other magnificent Torridon mountains. Thanks as ever for sharing❤

Hi Linda. I always watch your videos and have enjoyed the recent ones at scenic places and on the islands etc but really good to see you doing the big hills again, especially in Torridon - one of most spectacular places in Scotland. Well done on the filming - drone shots were epic. And every time I see you exploring far away places in the van, it makes me want to get one … this video might be the final straw!! More like this please 🙏

I just love that sense of isolation on rough ground with the Loch and burn in view. How I envisage the NW. I have a sports injury that has stopped it all for 2 mths now so far. Watching the filming of someone else walk it - brought a smile to my face. I . Thx for posting. JMO.

Great video. I like your brief intro giving the essential info about the hill. Still have over 100 Munros to go so focusing on them but will keep this hill in mind. Having already bagged the other two at Torridon, I'm slightly terrified at the prospect of hiking Liatach. Great vid!
@LindaOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. You can always do the 2 Munros on Liathach as separate hikes if you prefer, just in case you’re not aware. The pinnacles or bypass path are the tricky bits between the 2 Munros. If you’ve not watched Murray’s video here’s the link. It’s fantastic kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHm8q32Xe62NjM0si=dcBrC7p_q0PZuEE9

Hi Linda Lovely video liked the drone shots in particular. I did Beinn Damph last year on an FVMC weekend meet weather was clear until last 100 metres and no views from summit 🥲. Had better luck a couple of weeks ago on another weekend trip when I climbed An Ruadh Stac and had good views back to Beinn Damph.

This is a nice warm-up walk I did earlier this year. I liked the view from the summit across to the south-east, where the ground drops away quickly with views across a rugged remote landscape towards a handful of other rugged munros and corbetts (Maol Chean-Dearg).

That's a brilliant video Linda. It really shows the wild beauty of Torridon. I just started my Munro journey last year at 67 and so fra bagged 10, but I haven't forgotten the Corbetts. Sometimes they give better views than the Munros, especially on overcast days like this. Plus you got the bonus of viewing some of the Munros you've bagged on your journey. I would consider hiking Beinn Damh ahead of hiking any of the Torridon Munros. I'm a bit weary of the pinnacles on Liathach, especially after just watching Murray's video on Wednesday. ATB Karl from Denmark
@LindaOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Good luck on your Munro journey. Yes, Liathach is not for the faint hearted. I did the bypass path & agree with Murray that it’s a bit like Collies Ledge, difference was I was roped up for the latter. Not sure I would do it again & definitely not with a dog. Do Beinn Damh though it’s stunning. 🤩
@karlejnarch2 ай бұрын
@@LindaOutdoors Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate that. I also walk with my dog lead attached to the belt of the rucksack sometimes. But I try to avoid doing it going down because my Skye is a bit "opposite" He pulls more when we walk down the way than up. He's always ahead of me and every time I take a breather he turns around and give me that look "Hey try to keep up!" I sometimes have to let him off the lead, but he has a keen eye for birds as well as Brora - and sheep! He's nine now, but I hope I can still take him up the hills for some years yet. Thanks again for your kind advice 😊
