Visiting Ventura I was taking photos of my daughters and white shepherd on the beach infront of the huge waves and parked next to me was a cat named Liggy playing the most awesome music in his car that I've heard in years. I had to be awkward and ask. He was happy to enlighten me. I love this band.

Hello Friends who love Beirut. Listen, there's one thing I'm trying to figure out .... Anyone remember the piece Nantes? Who remembers a video of Nantes released on MTV in 1998? Does it seem strange to you? Me too! I remember it very well1 As I remember very well the Band whose debut was with the video of nantes in 1998. Who has this ricrdo, as I have it, give me confirmation ...... please ......
@Ozkarguitar2 жыл бұрын
you mean this one? kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJSWi3SpZpyod8k&ab_channel=JoshMcDonald
@giorgiopensa87032 жыл бұрын
@@Ozkarguitar Hi Oscar! No! This is not the video! It is a video that no longer exists! As if it had been erased from reality. I know it sounds strange. there was indeed a video of Beirut's Nantes (also with Zack Condon) but Beirut had come out in 1998. I know it's an absurd story. I am not a mythomaniac, nor a madman, nor a megalomaniac. I swear I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke joints. I am a health enthusiast with a passion for Martial Arts (Taichi). I swear to you that Beirut existed in 1998. I have seen the video of Nantes on MTV several times, in the summer period (from May until about September). I remember it perfectly. It was black and white. And a story was told. There were two characters. a Man and a Woman. They walked by the sea. The Man was drunk and looked at the horizon .... the Woman followed him without loving to approach. The song was the one You know well, with Zack's voice. It was very very sad. Just think that I was moved every time I saw him (that's why I remember him very well). You know I'm starting to think that there are parallel universes and reality shifts. If you do a research, in 1998 in Geneva, at CERN, you do an experiment that at the time they said was delicate and could do with reality. So I ask myself: What have they done? In fact, from that experiment, onwards, he started talking about parallel universes. I am serious. This is not a joke. I am a normal person who is trying to understand what happened. In this case, the Beirut, or rather the Nantes song, is a witness to this shift in reality, because I am fully aware of it!

@@giorgiopensa8703 ha! I know what you mean, i frequently have deja vu with things that have happened in my dreams (and i dream about 7 or 8 of them each night and i have trained to remember them at least until morning and seldom they persist for years). I also have some places, sounds or people that i repeatedly dream and are different from the real ones. There may be an overlapping of feelings that you have when you listen to this music and a soundtrack of your dream :)
