Perhaps the best she can do is to save the lives of her other two children and the rest of their grandchildren as surely, they were all threatened by the beast. Truth and love will prevail in all things before it is done. You can see in Mr. Middleton's eyes...they begin to fall into the flesh and muscle and become out of sync with grief. I'm sure both of the parents have considered the risk of their own lives as most parents do when faced with the trauma and extraordinary grief of losing a child, but their other two children have given up immensely and very personally for their sister, already. It wasn't just Kate's life that changed in her decision to wed into that family.
