Hello, Gemma. I only just found your video here; I remember the horror & extreme sadness I felt when I learned the news of Caroline Flack taking her own life, after the horrible treatment she received... I have to say, you are VERY BRAVE, and it is BRILLIANT that you have taken the time with this video to SPEAK THE TRUTH against bullying. What you are doing is VERY INSPIRATIONAL. I'm in my 40s and I'm well impressed by you. Stay Strong, keep doing what you're doing. Remember that other people's words (especially when they are wrong or lying) are just a show of their IGNORANCE, of how little they think they "know" about you, and it's important to remember that their "opinions" ARE NOT YOUR TRUTH. Remember who you are, and that you are NOT what they say you are, especially when they are saying horrible things, and/or telling lies. You are Right - Words can Hurt. Harsh words can have lasting negative effects. In a similar way, though, Kind Words can make a Positive Difference. Yes; let's all #BeKind, again, in THIS year, in 2022.

I absolutely despise bullies I know how it feels for evil cruel people to make your life hell!! Bullies are vile, childish, cruel and abusive and just want nothing more than making life so miserable and difficult for people! There’s nothing wrong with being kind, being kind doesn’t make you a loser or a nerd or what not, it makes you a good, down to earth, caring human being.

@@yeahgirl3955 I was bullied at school when i was about 14 for a while i think because i was pretty they were jealous they would pull my long hair, and say they were going to get me after school! i was scared as hell never told my parents as i was ashamed which now i know is common. But at least there was no internet so when i went home i felt safe, but poor kids now are getting bullied 24/7 on social media and that is awful! Bullying ruins peoples lifes why do people have to be nasty. Also even at work people side with the bully because they are scared, we should all come together and stamp out bullying.

This is also a failure by teachers who just cannot be bothered to tackle this problem. They should talk to children about this ganging up. This happened to my son. I was able to nip it in the bud by going to the main bullies parents who spoke to their child after my son was ostracised on a coach trip. I introduced him to meditation and mindfulness and he was also the go to person to help other children. I took his phone away. 10 years later he is strong has amazing friends and retains his kindness. He is also autistic. I am so proud of him

Your not trying to detract from Caroline. Why are you detracting from the ex partner she tried to kill. Why is everyone forgetting him?? Caroline deserves nothing. MrAden1307 if she’d tried to kill him she’d have been charged with attempted murder. She wasn’t. You are exactly the kind of person she’s talking about, you’ve twisted and embellished what you’ve heard in the media ( not the facts by the way, only Caroline and her partner knew the facts) you’ve just proved her point. Well done! Btw you don’t go to prison for a first offence of common assault, and you don’t get a sentence of any kind unless you’re found guilty. In this country there is a presumption of innocence. Check your facts and go and troll somewhere else, your appearance here is distasteful.

Why the f**k are you defending an abuser? Is it because she's a female or a celebrity. Don't come at me. I'm no abuser. Caroline was. And she was also a coward. I'm glad she's gone. You on the other hand are furious with someone you didn’t know, without the FACTS and are choosing this campaign to show exactly how ugly you are. You are the problem, or did you only focus on the part of the video about a woman you know nothing about. Did you miss the part about online trolling killing children? To a child reading this who is currently being bullied, please know that this will pass and better days are coming soon. You are brave and strong more than you know and more than you give yourself credit for. Now be one step even braver and speak to a parent/family member and it will lessen the pain and start your journey of healing. You got this ❤

Powerful speech. Well done, and so true. We are all so sad about Caroline , this tragic event should never have happened. Who ever sold a story to the press, and caused unbearable stress to Caroline and her family and invented their own narrative have blood on their hands today. Who ever alerted the press and earned money from this story have blood money on their hands. The heartbreak you have caused to Caroline's Mum and Dad brother and Sisters . They will never recover, and her close friends. They are heartbroken. A talented and lovely human being has been taken from us because of gutter press and who ever alerted the gutter press. in the first place to earn a quick buck. How could Caroline have had a fair trial. This case should have been dealt with differently, and ultimately dropped. Why did that not happen?. So many questions. Why wasn't she publicly supported more by her management.? A public statement should have been made to support her and demand the gutter press to back off, however that didn't happen. Was Caroline made an example of by the CPS because she was famous? All too late now, Caroline felt she had no option but to take her own life. Shame on everyone who didn't help and the trolls , gutter press, who made her life unbearable, people who alerted the press for their own selfish agenda. Shame on you who ever you are.

Fully behind the Be kind campaign and my heart goes out to anyone effected by suicide, but I won't be sharing this video with my child as suggested; I wouldn't want to plant the idea. I think there are other ways. Part of the problem is that children do not understand that emotions change, because they are still developing emotional maturity and it is this that makes them vulnerable. This is developmental so there is not alot we can do about this apart from be mindful and help them to develop here.

I live in Ireland. My daughter was been bullied from an early age. She was 5 when it first started. They were comments, for example, calling her names. She is half Filipino so she has tanned skin. This went on for years. I kept on speaking to teachers and spoke to the principal. Anyway, she started, 1st year in August 2019. We thought the bullying would stop knowing the girls had gone to another school. I was wrong, the main leader, txting her on Snapchat when tho, she blocked her. She did it from someone else's phone or account. It got so bad, my daughter said out of the blue, how would they feel, if I wasn't around anymore. She is 13 now. I got so mad. The following morning, I rang the other school, spoke to the vice principal. To make this short, she rang me back and told me that she spoke to the parents and spoke to the children. They said, it won't happen again. I said if it does, I will go to the guards about it. Nothing has happened since. Thank god. I told my daughter from an early age to tell me, if anyone was bullying her and she did from the start, because I was mentally and physically bullied at school and I didn't want her to go through the same thing. You have to speak up, or nothing will be done.

Well said. You never know what's going on in someone's life behind the scenes, or how they're feeling. Even those who come across as the happiest and most confident people are often struggling with anxiety, loneliness or low self-esteem in their lives. Even the bullies - a lot of them behave that way because they themselves are lonely and insecure. Obviously some are just sadistic narcissists who just derive pleasure from causing suffering to others, but a lot of people think what they're doing is funny or clever, and don't realise the damage it's doing. Things need to change.

Bullys are just damaged people. They may have been treated this way as a child or experienced this kind of behaviour from parents. It's easy to say ignore, which is the best form of action to these people. But how a person develops starts at grass roots. If you are a parent then think about how these things start with your child and raise your child to be a kind, considerate, loving person. Praise your child for who they are not just for achievements and raise a person who goes out into the world as self assured and inner belief. And in turn treats people well. There has to be something that can be done about bullying and vindictive people and it starts at the beginning of someone's life. I was truly blessed to have amazing parents but not everyone has this experience. It's never too late to mend who you are 😊

Thank you so much for your testimony Gemma! I am really sorry that we encourage bullying in our schools! The teaching profession is one of the most brutal, and is about bitching teachers! What hope is there for us to support those students who are being bullied in the classroom, with the bullying culture in our schools primarily affecting us teachers?

I also think schools should be more strict on bully’s. I’m not proud to admit this but I found out 4 years ago my son was been saying horrible things to a boy after the school phoned it was a 2 way bulling has he was also saying things to my son, but this other boy had taken it to heart.when the school phoned me to say my child was doing this my heart dropped as many parents you think no not my child I brought him up not to bully, any way i went into school and in front of the teachers told my son I’m not happy with him and when he got home I made him write the boy a letter saying sorry and I told my son what impact bully does to people.luckily since they are now good friends and had no issues with my son since. So don’t always make sure your child not just getting bullied but also not been a bully both are just as important. Just be kind !

It doesn't seem like your son was bullying him. I think they were 2 kids who were arguing. That's not the same. I get that it's a slippery slope and commend you for acting straight away but your kid wasn't a bully. Maybe if more parents acted like you their kids would not be so cruel. It took me to threaten my sons bully father to get him to stop. He was a police officer and I told him that I was going to go to his superior and report him for not stopping his child. The parents only cared when it directly impacted them.

This woman Claire Littewood just admitted her own are at it. No mention of what their DAD has done about it Seems to me mothers of 2020 can't discipline their offspring & need government/school. The "patriarchy" to help them. As usual And folks are wondering why nothing has changed.. There's a single mum epidemic going on in this country.. It's directly related..

@@MrAden1307 A whole lot of assumptions and conclusions based on a narrative that starts with a red herring. No I am not a single parent. Regardless, that's irrelevant. I raised wonderful people. They were not bullies. Schools should absolutely bullying done on the school premises. If they did I would not have had to threaten his father. Why didn't my husband approach the dad, you're thinking, right? He didn't because it would have looked confrontational and the parents attitudes as they were I knew my husband would break the guys face. So I didn't tell him what I was doing so he didn't end up in prison. I get that you're a woman hater. The feminazis really piss you off. News flash, most sane women hate them too. I'm not anti men but I will make an exception for you. You probably were the school bully. You've got nothing to say and you're saying it too loud so pipe down.

My choice, my life, our love and now, 13 years after he left, its still rips me apart. You now have more in terms of human understanding and comfort to offer than you had a week ago. Good luck and don't worry about people saying that you can be hard to work with: true professionals always are because nothing works for their performance but the very best. When I was ten years old I moved to another school I had never experienced extreme bullying, only the odd tease. I was laughed at the second I walked in the class because I had squint teeth (which were later fixed with braces) but from then people constantly excluded me. I would mentor younger children so I would not be alone at lunch time. I once got told that I should stay in my room and lock myself away because nobody cares about me and nobody ever will I felt my existence was nothing, this was only two years of my life but it impacted my teenage years especially in a different school. I eventually made some great friends at 12 but still. No one should ever have any experience with bullying you have no idea how words can affect people...
