I had the same problem on on a WMI71641. Drum tried to start with a big clunk then stopped. Test mode showed that the washing speed was fast - obviously no over speed protection in test mode. Tested the tacho with a multimeter - several volts of AC when the drum was spun by hand so that was OK. Tested the BTB16-600BW with a multimeter and that looked OK (Open circuit between the terminals and 75R terminal to gate. Ready to call in the repair company at this point - £99. Checked the output of the triac in test mode using a scope. Triac conducting a little over 1/4 cycle which accounts for the hard start and the speed. Replaced the triac with a BTA16-600B from Maplin - £2.09 - and now it runs as well as it did before.

Are you able to take a few pictures for the wireing to the pressure switch on this model please??

I changed carbon brushes today but somehow disturbed the drum housing unit. It spun once then would stop, so I waited until it drained itself. Saw the big movements the drum was making, so I am deciding wether to buy a second hand working one or spend time to replace the bearings.

Hi hemant, hope you could help me out. i missed the correct re-assembly of my BEKO WML 15060 JL washing machine power control cable. I had unplugged the cables & not sure about the right reconnection to the power button section, would appreciate a clear picture or video of yours to reconnect my cables.

Haha, I've just posted on another of your videos about this almost exact problem - only difference is that it spun normally, like during a wash. I was quoted about €175 for a new control board (which was obviously BS if they are available for 'only' £48 on Ebay) and ended up getting a new one instead...

I have this problem and i tried the reset method that you show in another video. Unfortunately, as soon as i hit the start button the second time it started spinning at full speed rather than wash speed. Perhaps foolishly, i then hit the button again to stop it and reverse the direction rather than just turning it off and it went BANG loudly, with sparks inside the barrel and it threw the houses electricity trip protection. Bah :(

Hi can you help? I have same machine, it starts up fills half way with water then stops :|
@picky199410 жыл бұрын
Most likely motor brushes or a motor fault
@picky199410 жыл бұрын
If your washing machine goes straight to fastest spin, then it is almost always a tacho fault on the motor This detects how fast the motor is spinning and if not working correctly, motor draws too much power then cuts out
@CarShed6810 жыл бұрын
yes,u are right,i have same problem! just wasted money on new control module! :(

dont rush to buy new control module,i have quick spin and stop problem on same machine like in video,like silly i buy new module in ebay,and i was shocked when i replaced it and have same start and stop problem :O real problem was in motor spin sensor,i opened it cleaned and glued midle peace ,and checked is it spin free,and checked resistance with multi meter,and guess what???? yes my machine work now great,thx to cheap fix with glue :D
@PrestigeElectrics10 жыл бұрын
Do you have any further info on where the spin sensor is on the motor. Is it easy to get to? What value would you expect for its resistance when stopped? I guess the resistance varies with speed, does it? Cheers.
@CarShed6810 жыл бұрын
Colin Silvester spin counter is on backside axle on motor and ease to disasamble,i dont remember resistance but when u remove belt and spin motor resistance must pulsate ,if u have option with beep on multimeter u will hear beeps with small intervals beep beep beep beep.... if your spin sensor is working good :) btw my washing machine still work good after my fix! :)
@PrestigeElectrics10 жыл бұрын
nagla626 Thanks, I found it by tipping the machine on its side and getting to the motor from underneath. It was the magnet that had broken. Couldn't find a replacement anywhere, as it seems to be part of the motor and not an orderable part. Used strong epoxy glue to fix it. Works fine now. Don't know for how long though.
@CarShed6810 жыл бұрын
Colin Silvester my magnet look like 3/4 from moon or ring without peace,i just glued it to axle,if is spin free inside coil its need work long time again!
