You are always and forever my favorite artist Ms. Bela. I am inspired in your script writing skills. And I got to continue my passion in writing. I had been writing scripts when I was still young like in elementary days for role plays in schools. I don’t know why my classmates always pinpoint me to do the scripts even I don’t have the idea how to do it and eventually I got to love it. I guess my classmates like how I create my scripts and maybe they see some potential in me. Still my scripts are kept by my mom. Hehehe. And when I knew you are incline with this I got kilig because 2 of my favorites are bind together. We are the same I do my scripts like 2-3 days before pitching it. And I do write at night. I have always pen and paper at my side because you’re right, we’ll never know when the inspiration strikes. I remember even I am sleepy, my hands are still writing because my brain is working at the time😅😅😅 Thank you for sharing this video. I personally am someone who isn't a fan of back stories. I enjoy analyzing a character as is like who they are at the moment and let the semiotics do its job in introducing the character and the world they live in. Miss Bela, I hope you can teach a class in Benilde or be a speaker. I would definitely attend and take notes! I really love your films and I enjoy analyzing the characters you made.

It’s great that you already know what works for you and not…it took me a while to get there, and I’m probably forever going to learn about what works for me :) i think that creating the backstory (even without showing it) can be a great writing exercise! And like I said in the video, there will be projects when your actors/director or even producers require them so it’s best to have it ready! :)

I think the reason why it's hard to write the middle part is because, sometimes the character is different from you and it's hard to guess what the character should feel, should think or how he/she would react and what action he'll make towards the circumstances based on its personality. And it is hard because the character is another person. To make the movie come into life, the characters should have their own way of thinking based on their personality and characteristics. And what I love about the movies Bella mentioned is the characters' decisions are logical and connected to their characteristics. Like hindi ka makakapagtanong na "bakit naging ganito decision niya?", "bakit ganito yung sinabi ng character?" kasi napakilala din niya yung characters ng maigi and she made us understand the character, from its personality to its past experiences. And eventhough, there are twists in it, you can say that the characters are being reasonable kasi, magkakatugma yung characteristic, experience, reaction and decisions. Kumbaga perfect recipe. Nakakapagod mag ingles. May sasabihin pa ko nakalimutan ko lang eh.

btw, ang ganda nung 366. IT MAKES YOU DUMB if you're not the type of person who'll check the genre before watching it. I love being surprised kasi. Throughout the movie, I thought it was some kind of a thriller, a revelation how the girl changes her story everytime she tells it. Buuuuutt, it's just wholesome and realistic especially when you're recalling something special but have to-- not let go of it totally but, not to cling onto it too much. Yes, it's kinda dull or maybe beacuse I'm expecting something else but, the mystery and how it makes you drive crazy is traumatic. Chariz! 'Di ko makakalimutan 'yun kasi ang unique eh ngayon lang ako nakapanood ng movie na sa dulo mo lang maiintindihan lahat lahat sa main character and yet sobrang worth it, the dullness nung umipisa is bawing-bawi

Hi! Thank you for your comment. I just saw this now :) i started in show biz in 2007 but a lot of you dont know it because i was constantly overlooked in the beginning. Being in a “showbiz family” never actually helped me land a role. I was never cast in anything because of my family. I auditioned and worked hard for many many years and continue to do so :)

However, I don't have a space nor the confidence to share what I wrote. My major is in the opposite spectrum from writing as well.
