When the plane was in the air it was just a cropped picture with the front part spinning

Close.The plane is a 3-d object and it is stationary.The propeller is 3-d and is spinning.The background is and image-plane with video applied.Because of my inexperience using Blender, I had motion blur applied to the prop but that meant everything else had to be stationary or it would have motion blur. I wanted to have the plane moving but couldn't get the motion blur I wanted at the time.The affect works pretty well but is noticeable in some shots.I have learned enough now that in the future I will be able to create a more realistic situations.Good eye by the way, I hope you still enjoyed the animation and thanks for watching.

It took approximately 6 months to finish because I work long hours and I can only work a few hours a day on it. about 40 hours rendering time.I picked just the tutorials that would help with what I wanted to do at the time.I'm still learning every time I get on it. I had to get a better computer to be able to continue working on it. My old computer was taking four hours to render 1 minute of video. Save up and get a good computer. That's the best advice I can give.
