The last time I went on one of these was to manly circa 1972 their was a amusement park on the wharf had free rides because my father knew the owner!!! They were the days!!! It was called manly fun pier!!

I remember the North Head, Curl Curl, Dee Why, Bellubera, Baragoola and South Steyne all in operation in mid 1960s.

Wow, talk about a trip back 😯, I remember the north and south steyne's, the hydofoils, and going to manly in huge swells, awsome 😀

Me too Mark, we lived in Manly 78-84….we would go to the Zoo…. Luna Park….or just for the ride there and back…rode it like 5 times in a row during a big storm, the captain let us come up to the Bridge….the good old days before the world grew up and got boring and safe.
