they,ve been inconsistent all year long and I don't think they.ve been sick that long.As I said before, INJURIES/ILLNESS is not a valid excuse for NHL teams. Every team has had them, yes even big bad Boston and they still persevered.Bad coaching = bad team play and its as simple as that. Theres no heart on this team, sorry to say. The leafs never hit anyone, start fights to fire the team up, stand up for teammates. Something def wrong, maybe a dressing room problem.

He loved watching the Leafs even at that young age, and Game 6 of the Finals against Montreal was a school night, so my grandfather (his dad) made him go to bed early, saying "there's plenty of time to see them win the Cup again, you have school tomorrow". Well, my dad is almost 60 now, my grandfather is long dead, and that next Cup never came. Hopefully it will be here soon though

Well done my friend...this was an excellent video and sure did bring back a lot nightmare memories which does make you totally appreciate where they are now. I wish it was October tomorrow because we could be witness to something very special in this coming season. I am almost 50 years old and they have not won in my lifetime, but i have never given up on MY TEAM no matter how bad things got. Before they landed JT i was hoping they would make it to the 2nd round , but I have a feeling we could do way better now. Awesome video. You failed to mention a couple additional events that I feel are huge. The first is that when Babcock came on - he and Dubas completely remade the Leafs development program in the AHL. The Marlies play the exact same style of hockey as the Leafs intentionally so that when they call up players no additional training is needed since they're already accustomed to the system. I don't know what kind of crappy player developers we had before but those guys were all fired. The Leafs are drafting well... but it's their new development system that keep churning out all these amazing players! Oh - and you forgot to mention that the Marlies just won the calder cup! :)

Oh come on how do you know what would happen if we won game 7? For all we know passing the first round could have boosted the morale of that team and players like Kadri, Gardiner, and Rielly could have gotten immense improvements instead of their growth stunted. Imagine if Lupul, Frattin, and MacArthur weren't injury prone, the team Burke assembled did have great potential but unfortunate heart breaks and devastating injuries ruined that team from reaching its true potential. Frattin showed amazing potential and gave excellent production until he faced major injuries during 2012 and 2013. Lupul was a point per game player and played at an elite level until injuries completely destroyed him, Macarthur was also really good, and Stuart Percy showed great potential but gods hated us for no reason. That's a freaking fact and it seemed clearly evident that our players took it extremely badly once they lost game 7 in 2013.

They forgot to mention that the 2013 collapse against Boston in the third period was the biggest blessing in disguise in Leafs history. Sure, it hurt a lot at the time, but without that there would have been no management change over, no Babcock, no Lamerello, no Shanahan, no Matthews, no Marner, no Nylanderor Tavares. Great job on the video. I've been a Leafs fan since I was old enough to remember. So, maybe 1987 or so. Point is, I've seen good times, bad times and 12 wheelers going over cliffs. Thru it all I've kept the faith, but knew nothing would change. Then everything did change. Shanny started us down this road and now a short time later everything is different. Who would have thought the Leafs would sign Marleau and JT in consecutive years. It just shows how far they've come in a very short time.

8:40 Just...wow. That bloody line-up. Year in, and year out...it seemed that our team would always be a collection of players who (sad to say) would never bring success. And yet we stupidly/desperately tried to convince ourselves, otherwise. As a long suffering Leafs fan, I have to pinch myself watching this current (2018-19) line-up...which at this time, both Matthews is out, and Nylander is unsigned---and yet we are still kicking ass, and taking names. Even in '93, or during the bright spots of the Pat Quinn era, I have never felt so happy to be a Leafs fan, as I do now. God Bless Brendan Shanahan.
