This is a full cockpit prep film departing Belfast (EGAA) featuring Cockpit Master CDU, VRInsight Overhead Panel & CPFlight's MCP/EFIS in MSFS2020. Also featuring FSHud ATC, FSLTL traffic and GSX. BTW, there is an error when I set the altitude, which I set for 32,000ft and of course flying west to east, it should be set as an odd number, so it should have been set to either 31,000 or 33,000ft! Slapped wrist. I hope you enjoy.

If you're ever on a real flight and the Captain and First Officer are incapacitated, you'd obviously have no trouble landing.

Nice cockpit, I like it. Great video too. Unfortunately, I'm not quite as busy as I need to significantly expand my computer capacity.😁

Hello, I love your setup! You can tell it was made by hand and I think it's so beautiful! I'm a pilot and IVAO controller if you know the network and if you're interested, I could help you understand IFR and (real) 737-800 procedures a little better 😊 Happy flying ! (by the way ryanair cost index is 6 ^^)

Ah ha, I do have a simming buddy who is an ex ATC controller (RW) who pointed out one or two errors to me and has offered to sit in on my next flight. Thanks for that offer, I'll definitely bear that in mind. Thanks also for the cost index info.

Hello, really like your cockpit enclosure and has persuaded me to make my own . I have 3d printed all 737 instruments (mcp, efis, fmc, chrono, warning panel), just started forward OH. Can you please tell me what angle / slope your top is and length so I can get a rough idea. Merry Xmas.

Hiya, well it's all going to depend on the size of the overhead. My VRInsight is about 2/3rds the size of a full sized panel. Unless you're building a replica, full sized version of the real cockpit, then I would suggest making a cardboard cut-out with the same dimensions of the panel and literally get someone to hold it in position while you sit in the cockpit and 'try it for size.' That's what I did. Make some marks for the position and use those to work to. Find a position that suits you for your specific cockpit. Just remember to have the overhead off to the right side and not directly above you. FYI, the angle I found works best for me is about 35-40° in a real 737 it's 30°

Thanks for the kind words. Sure, the MCP/EFIS are mounted between two sections of 12mm MDF. Sprayed in the correct RAL 7011 colour car paint. The top piece, if you look carefully, is covered in a synthetic leather material, glued with Gorilla glue. BTW, watch this channel, a sI will be making a video abiut how I built my sim. In the meantime, why not check out the Tour of my Flight Simulator! kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4XCen9-pLWnoLssi=P2NgtWdOFinYxFfW

So I see that you cannot see out of the cockpit windows, left and right, at the same time?

I can by using the two customised camera views which I select by flicking the hat switch on my yoke.

Hard to say, as I have developed it over many years! The cuurent build has been a redesign and so probably took me longer than if I had built it from scratch. It took me just over three weeks. As for costs, here's a breakdown taken from a recent post I made: FulcrumSim yoke about £480, MFG rudder pedals approx £300 and VirtualFly throttle quadrant £650, CPflight MCP (Mode Control Panel) and EFIS £800 VRInsight Overhead 737 panel £1200 (incl taxes), Stream deck £150. PropWash Sim radio set £350, Cockpit Master CDU (Control Display Unit) £650, LG Ultragear 48" 4k monitor £1200, Computer AMD 7800x3d processor, 32Gb RAM, 1000w power supply, RTX 3090 GPU £3000(PC total). So this is what I have, then of course the actual cockpit that I have built mainly from 18mm MDF, probably about £250 for all the bits. Cheers.

It cost, give or take a few pounds, £850 + £150 delivery costs to the UK and £200 taxes.
