I am astonished the Narrator begins Belgian history with the Crusades, and that the Flemish Renaissance, and Flemish artists were skipped over in arush to talk about glass making. Odd. I'm not even Belgian and could speak more gloriously of the Flemings and Walloons than this. Belgium is so lovely and cultured, and the Celtic Belgii ought have more said for them here as well.

The film is well done; but two remarks: 1. Even if the film is mentioned as being made in HD, the best resolution is 360 p...much too low...Locations are mentioned until one third of the film...why not further on?

The country is not very old, it does not even exist 200 years. But the land was inhabited a long time ago.

Flanders has rich history that could have been touched upon, less about Dutch rule, and the importance of Lieges and Ghent in regional religion not very well-expained. Leopold II is probably someone we should say little about, by contrast, for his savage crimes and blood-gotten gain. There is so much without that taint which can be glorified. BUT, it's beautiful and happy to see Belgium get some coverage.
