Except songs that require real anger. I love Audra, but she just doesn't have the ability to convey *rage* or pain.
@cesardelcastilloyurrita9344 Жыл бұрын
@@thetruerift I completely agree. But with a nuance: she cannot transmit that anger or pain until now. I sense that she will be able to do it one day. She has enough sensitivity and talent for it. She just needs more life experience in confronting fucking reality.
@thetruerift Жыл бұрын
@@cesardelcastilloyurrita9344 concur. it isn't a singing weakness, it is a life experience thing. Example - in "Oughta Know" the primary feeling line is "are you thinking of me when you *fuck her*" - it expresses all of Alanis' pain and hate towards her ex. Audra just doesn't have the oomph to get that across (also they took out the word fuck).
@cesardelcastilloyurrita9344 Жыл бұрын
@@thetruerift Yes, it is a good example where she cannot convey what she has not yet experienced. And indeed it is not a problem of talent or of exercising musical technique. The first is more than enough, and the second is taken care of by her persevering Anglo-Saxon responsibility. But my personal reflection is, should an artist faithfully experience all those emotions that his songs transmit? And my answer is, unfortunately, yes. Although not necessarily in a direct or identical way. For example, if one has a creative imagination that allows one to deeply dream of a magical or ideal world, the fact that that dream does not come true, If you confront reality adverse to your dream, is enough to become aware of that existential gravity. When you have a very dirty window glass, a rain of mud can fall and you hardly notice the difference. However, if it is very clean, any speck of dust contrasts and attracts attention. And on the other hand, there are people who have very traumatic experiences that for others would mean hell, but they get used to the pain, to lowering the bar on their vital demands, and that Dantesque situation does not seem so serious to them. I mean that Audra doesn't need to wallow in the mud to learn to express anger, pain or anguish. She just needs to be fully aware that this fucking world is hostile to many of her dreams. And since you have remembered my dear Alanis, in Audra's interpretation of Ironic, it is amazing how she knows how to convey the excitement about the adventure of living that that song expresses. So, it's clear that Audra knows what it means to dream. Then learning from it is possible. Obviously IMO
@52341 Жыл бұрын
@@thetrueriftbut what’s wrong with not being able to convey rage? It just means she has a very sweet and beautiful soul. Also, the fact that she never uses curse words just means she’s smart enough to convey a message without using profanity and that is an admirable thing of itself

It's fun and hopeful to see a possible path opening up for the future F211. Rock versions of poppy songs ! It would be a bridge that would unite Audra's musical preferences with Ryan's. A bond that I would like to remain alive and never be broken. And who knows, maybe along the way Audra's musical tastes will evolve and they will both come to be in the same rock passion without the need for any bridge. 🤘
@madbull411 ай бұрын
I feel like you are a new fan. Welcome! I urge you to look at some of their music from before 2019. If you like rock versions of poppy songs, you should be happy.
@cesardelcastilloyurrita934411 ай бұрын
@@madbull4 New fan? Yes, I like being new at something. But in Rock, considering a follower of a Band less than 10 years old to be an old fan would sound ridiculous. So all of us who listen to F211 are new fans. And for a new Rock Band to be born and consolidated, in the trends that currently dominate the music market, is something worth celebrating. In my case, my first crush on F211 was around 4 years ago. And as you can imagine, YT's algorithms also offered me the possibility of listening to the videos that the Band had uploaded before Sam was their drummer. And indeed, there were many versions of Poppy songs in those early days. But lately they made wonderful Harder Rock Covers. And at the same time, Audra, Sam and Matt decided to venture without Ryan into Concrete Castles, seeking to discover their own sound with original compositions, to date within a softer "Electronic Pop" line. A dissociation that, like the title of one of their Covers, makes them follow "Separate Ways". I don't know the many real causes of this distance, but I sense that one of the probable factors is the difference in musical tastes between Ryan and Audra. Personally, I don't like Poppy songs, but I love Audra's voice and Ryan's bass, and as I suggest in my comment, my preference would be for Audra and Ryan to share the same rock passion. But if, in order for that distance not to widen and end in a breakup, it is necessary that from time to time F211 make rock versions of Poppy songs, for me it is a lesser evil and a welcome one. It would not be a new path with respect to its origins, but with respect to what seemed to be a consolidated trend in the Covers of the last 3 years. And also new because after the excellent vocal and instrumental progression of this Band over the last 4 years, the current rock versions of Poppy songs sound very different from the ones they played then. This is all what I meant in my probably poorly phrased comment. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to clarify it.

You believe love, but do you believe in life after love?
@JoeWadeFromSwiftzerland-France Жыл бұрын
@@asad5986 I'm ill today and trying to sleep it's 7:11 PM here anyway, your question is interesting and sure perspectives vary. What happens in the case you mentioned is this lack of acceptance that is hurting both not being accepted maybe and not accepting the fact if not being accepted which is the most hurtful thing ever. We tend... by we I mean maybe us "lovers" tend to seek a world of support, promotion and positivity, but the world is always almost the opposite of ideal. Do I believe in life after love? YES , I do , Best thing to do here is to say, Yes, I do, even if I don't feel like embracing these injustices, but I do because it's not under my control. Trust yourself is the best motto to have. If you're feeling like you're not enough, just don't care about this idea, it's a false information because you're not the opinions of someone else, you are you. We're built from what we know, the one who tries to make you think, you shouldn't think you deserve to ne treated kind and loved is just the dumbest douchebag ever. Life is full of opportunities of things to release stress and stimulate ourselves and in the worst case scenario we should take back our love to love ourselves first. Because it's okay, it's okay, and whoever isn't wise enough to tell you it, to tell you that you're enough that you should be accepted like anything in life that should be accepted then, Focus on the positive side of it, focus about how free you are from a chimpanzee that was trying to hurt you without knowledge or wisedom, the posotivity of life in it to get rid of that person. The positivity of the beautiful days ahead, the biggest positivity of being free, nothing better than being the master of your own perspectives and always keeping perspectives in life. So yes, life after love is life coming back ;)
