My biggest problem with the show is why do they rely on Synchro monsters against Synchro killers? Jack and Yusei both have Fusion monsters that can win then the day without nearly as much luck. Why not use those?

Khalil Safe Jack has Multiple Piece Golem, and against Team Unicorn, Yusei summons Dragon Knight Draco-Equise, which has 3200 attack. Only 100 less than Shooting Star Dragon, and could ruin a Meklord's day because they're not that strong.

Both Yusei and Jack went through an entire arc trying to find alternate ways to deal with the Synchro killers and in result both have fusion summoned a few times. I think they are just hard to get out something. I don't think they ever state why they never used it though.

Hmm Yugi is nice, he is better than Atem. But I think Yusei is just build different. He is the only main character that starts without an ace, he is usually at severe disadvantage since his opponents cards are better and he has to actually pull combos to win. Yugi and Ateam meanwhile make things like "I break the moon so your monsters dies cause I say so" all the time. I like Yugi but Yusei is a better duelist in every aspect.@user-bd9bl1lb2u

Also, Konami refused to ban Firewall for over a year because it was his ace. Multiple formats in a row ruined and made into FTK decks because of the BS enabled by Firewall.
