I'm 67. Been watching SJS ball since 1968 and I have never seen a game like this one. I don't think they will win all the rest of their games this season, and frankly, I don't care. This win was the biggest I've ever seen and includes the upset of #10 TCU back around 2000. Not sure what got into the guys to win this game, it was like a miracle. They will remember this one game for the rest of their lives.

How about the upset win over #10 Baylor in 1980? In 1990, I think they were beating #1 Washington on the road 17-13.. but Washington won in the final minute. That "would" have been the biggest upset in the history of college football. SJS has been the 300 a few times.

Hell of a game. I hate to see my program fall to this level but that takes nothing away from what you guys did. Great job, guys. Go hogs

Is it very common for any Football coach to say that when they upset someone they're not supposed to?

Does anyone know out of the 56,000 or so spectators, how many were wearing blue and gold? Also, how many SJS fans actually traveled down the Arkansas to see the game?

They have a fan bus that goes all over. I saw it one time down at the Colosseum, and sat with those people.

I got to ask man, were you in utter disbelief? My jaw would have been on the floor the whole game. I wouldn't have known how to react at the end. Which side were you rooting for?

SJSU. I'm a huge sharks fan plus my sister graduated from sjsu. I live in Arkansas originally from California. I'm in disbelief.

@@GoalieShmew Did the Hog fans challenge any SJS fans to a fight afterwards? That happened to me when we beat Fresno one year. I had to high tail it out of the stadium.

Nah. They wanted to kill there coach though. Some were happy for us, others were just mad but not at San Jose.

Arkansas was terrible, so not sure what kind of an upset this was, but I used to go to games in the late 70's and 80's and SJS beat teams better than Arkansas
@georgeralph80315 жыл бұрын
Didn't the Arkansas players look like they were just standing around. They didn't seem into the game at all. In other words, I don't think it was my Spartans playing lights out, it was more the Hog players just being soft and standing around.
@georgeralph80315 жыл бұрын
Like look at the final interception. Who is #85? He's literally just standing there watching the int and not even hustling towards to ball in case the defender comes back towards the end zone for a TD. They would never let you do that at SJS. You have to run to the ball every play.
