Honestly monster high was the most diverse community (all races, many cultures, especially Claude and draculara dating can be considered interracial, because werewolves and vampires are known to be enemies.) and they taught the best lessons about loving yourself and loving others no matter how different they are. Sales for MH was already starting to slowly decline even with the old version, the reboot was meant to aim it at a newer and younger audience needless to say the reboot did little to help the brand and the remaining fans of the series weren't happy with the reboot and the doll quality went down horribly leading to even more low sales i believe MH would have died anyway but probably much slower

@@someoneelseishere5964 one of the first original designers for the dolls, Garret Sanders, said that the reason for the reboot was to comply with the claims from parents saying the Dolls were "too scary" and "not realistic" If they had just continued the line as normal, they would have still kept the rest of their audience, doll collectors like myself. The main reason I avoid them now is of how far they've downgraded the doll; removing mobility almost entirely, eliminating several fan favorites, using cheaper materials (paints, hair, fabrics, etc.) to make the dolls, lowering their quality control, and making the dolls younger and taking away certain attributes of each characters' designs.

Yo, these comments are making me cry. This shit was my childhood, and as someone who’s always been an outsider and not really social these character were my life. I didn’t realise how long it had been since it ended and I miss it so much. I dug up all my dolls and I’m marathoning all the movies to just get a taste of childhood. I was in a really toxic and manipulative friendship and the fact that I had this growing up it part of the reason I was able to get out of it. MH taught me to be myself no matter what, even when people were controlling my whole life. So thank you Mattel for creating this fucking amazing franchise, but also screw you for horribly rebooting it and then cancelling it.

I like that monster high shines light to everyone who feels like they don't fit in. Not just sexuality wise that isn't the main point but everything wise. Every difference that everyone sees in themselves that they feel like society win't accept will be accepted by others. I always felt left out by others for not being girly, not hanging out with girls, not wearing dresses, being tall, have dark leg hairs, wearing glasses, being a bit chubby, not having a lot and just not being what is considered normal. I soon discovered I was accepted by other people throughout the years, I made amazing friends, met amazing people, got an incredible boyfriend. And now I feel accepted and I even accept myself
